Sorry you feel that way. I think that the channels are a necessary evil. Talking in the wrong channel will basically never get you banned, unless it's flagrant, deliberate, and repeated. (Basically, you have to be asking for a ban.)
I fully expect the moderators to be courteous and polite when asking people to move a conversation to another channel. If they are not, then please let me know.
