As an immedeate response the automated Spatial Defense System (SDS) installed on multiple planets in the Sol system, and the automated Emergency Defense Protocol (EDP) installed on various stations in the Sol system, all designed to defend Earth, automatically targeted the vessel. All systems came online and every weapon and defense system was pointed at the vessel. A large portion of the Earth's power was redirected to the shielding, another major portion to the SDS.
These systems were made to automatically defend against and destroy any kind of unauthorized approach to the Sol system, when detecting one such thing, the system would initiate a countdown from 60 seconds to 0, allowing the TA to shut it down in the unfortunate event of a system failure.
A message with the highest possible priority was sent to TA HQ that the system had been activated. The TA stopped the countdown, so that every system was still targeting the vessel and ready to fire, but now not at an automated countdown, but at the order of the HQ.
Immedeately DS5 called Earth and the mythologists, liguists and math experts were put on a emergency transport to Earth. Also all the ships in the vicinity of Earth (wich are a lot, more than 2 sub-battlegroups!) were put on high alert and the "eye" was surrounded again within half an hour.
The same kind of utility vehicle was prepared to dock in the same way as at DS5, but it had now opened the access to the bridge, allowing people in spacesuits to walk up to the "eye".
Nothing happened, and nobody moved, everybody was waiting for the scientists from DS5 to arrive. This was like a mexican standoff, except that this included the entire defense system of the Sol system, and had the power to destroy an entire planet with one strike (bundled forces of the entire solar system have a tremendous amount of power, of course).
While all this 'nothing' was happening, Ares 1 (A.K.A. Mars station 1), wich is euipped with the most powerful scanner the Humans could ever dream of, tried scanning the vessel again, but now with this enormously powerful scanner.
