Even if you don't get an error popup, you should still have an error in your log.txt
file which will usually tell you where the error is.
When I ran the game with your de.txt
file, I got this error:
Halfling.ObjectText.OTParseException: Unexpected character (
) at position {Line=190,Char=1} in file "C:\Users\Walt\Documents\Code\Cosmoteer\Strings\de.txt".
So first I went to line 190 in de.txt
:
Undo = "Ein Schritt Zurück";
This looks fine. But years of programming experience have taught me to always look at the line above the line with the error. Line 189 looks like this:
FlipY = "Teile/Decals Vertikal Spiegeln.
Aha! This line is missing both a "
and a ;
. I edit the line to look like:
FlipY = "Teile/Decals Vertikal Spiegeln.";
And now it works fine!
These kinds of errors are simple to make, and you just gotta learn what to look for by trial and error.
I may make some simplifications to this file format sometime in the future to make it a bit easier to work with. In particular, I may make the ;
optional.
