IMPROVEMENTS:
-Compartmentalized most of the ship
-Added Point Defense
-Rearranged Shields
-Added more Shields
-Moved the Crew and Reactors to more convenient places
-removed all Reactor Storages
-Added some Super Armor
-Added more Thrusters (for reverse)
-removed some Ion Beams

Overall, this ship is now virtually indestructible towards your previous version. The shields recharge so fast that it can't even break it, and the ion beams never shut off (unless the enemy ship drifts out of range). The inclusion of a Super Armor skin makes it a much better ship, and the reverse thrusters improve maneuverability handsomely.

Also, those pyramid pieces are OP. They make the chance of hitting your shields -let alone your ion beams- nigh impossible until all of them are removed.

electro-bolts because they only work with cannons(not small lasers)

I know this is an upgrading ship thread, but you guys are amazing at ship design and I was wondering if you had any tips for a beginner like me. My ships are incredibly inneficient right now (I might post one for upgrading) and I saw that in many of the upgrades, storages were removed. Are storages inneficient?

TheSketchyMoose Using power storage helps to make the ship less likely to blow up dramatically. (The last two improved ships are susceptible to blowing up rather dramatically).

If you want to win easy battles with pretty much no damage then putting power close to where it is need is most efficient. So for bounty mode ship design its reasonable. But it does make the ships extremely fragile against anything that can overpower them.

I am pretty sure the last two ships could be made stronger by removing roughly half of their reactors and adding some power storage in their place. This would make them not have chaining explosions.

TheSketchyMoose yeah. often why we remove storages is so we can get power with the reactor instead of having an special amount right at the place. we can then have auto regenerative energy supply.

-Removed some Reactors
-Removed all Reactor Storages
-Removed some Crew
-Compartmentalized interior
-Added Fire Extinguisher
-Added Ammo Factories

The completed ship isn't outrageously better than the original, but that's because I didn't touch the weapon layouts and made sure not to change the design of the ship on the outside.

Obviously, if you want to change it more drastically, feel free to (after all, it's still YOUR ship) 🙂
