beside cannon dont need that much power so most if not all the storage is dedicated to the shield

David623 Not really. I had it battle my ship and the lightning bolts glowed all over your ship from lack of power. Your ship was decimated by the long battle while my ship only suffered a few thousand credits of damage. Besides, I was only making a suggestion for improvement from what I saw of your ships battle worthiness.
it mostly lacking power in the thruster section cause that section is mostly just a quick copy pasting cube

Your ridiculously excessive energy storage has been replaced with enough reactors to actually do the job without storage. You have 134 kc worth of energy storage that I replaced with 180 kc of reactors.
You also have lots of armor that does nothing but slow you down. More than 2 armor layers is pointless for internal bulkheads. Fixing this also saves money. More than the balance of replacing energy storage with reactors, adding four FTL reactors to get up to 100% efficiency, and adding a few standard thrusters.
Some corridors have been added and fire extinguishers moved around to improve pathing around the engine blocks.
No external changes have been made, nor have I worked on the ammo balance. I haven't properly power balanced the engine blocks either because I don't have engine power consumption memorized and they might be able to drop a reactor each. This is just the low hanging fruit fix.
the butt load of armor is for anti flanking by smaller ship and it there for when the back PD is gone so armor can still keep the thurster safe

Kraken 1142: A formidable and hard-to-kill battleship, using the shield generating technology and heavy guns to do any task. It can even take on ships like a Crescent Wrath. It boasts of having high survivability, firepower, and high maneuverability, allowing it to flip sides to the other side of shields and guns and continuing fighting while the initial damaged side recovers. The ship also is heavily armoured in the interior and compartmentalized so that internal explosions do not hamper or destroy other parts of the ship. I made this ship as an attempt to create a balance between firepower and surviability, but the most important factor is cost, as this ship costs only 934,400 credits. If anybody can make this ship more survivable or cheaper, that will bring it closer to my goal. Thank you for editing and making my ship better.

The image that you linked appears to be a jpg image and so it will not load into the game.
Regarding the ship you might want to consider having some more protected engines. I guess vs the computer it doesn't matter but it looks vulnerable to loosing its engines to focused fire and then destroyed from one side.

Equalizer I did follow the instructions and the original image is PNG, but the forums always said something went wrong, so I have no choice but to upload this to Imgur. Anyways, I have used your suggestion to better protect my thrusters. I moved two of the big thrusters closer to the interior of the ship and added more armour to the parts where the big thrusters are at the ends of the ship. This change had made it cheaper, with a new price tag of 928,800, down from the original 934,400. Now it is less explosive at the thruster parts. The thruster parts were my original weak spot, but now it is not as weak as before.

been working well for me so far in veteran. haven't tried in multiplayer. only probs are that it kept ramming enemies (fixed by making engagement dist reasonable) and for some reason, the shields break even tho I have 2 reactors next to them and plenty of crew
just looking for some general tips for improving the design also I never edited the exterior so that's why it's like this

So what do you like about this ship? The small size, its low price tag, and firepower, is it?
I understand the ship is as slow as molasses, but speed was never the intention of my design here. My goal was to make the cheapest and tankiest ship possible. It's huge firepower was just an afterthought, as I realized if the ship has firepower as well, then it needs less resources to take incoming damage if it can destroy the aggressor, do you agree? It's slow, but the engines on the sides are mostly used for maneuverability, for I find my Kraken 1142 turns from one side to the other quite fast in a firefight if one side is getting pounded and shields are running low. What is your opinion on the maneuverability. I'm just a new Cosmoteer player, so I can't judge if my ship's maneuverability is good or not. Please tell me. As a new player, I would think that if this ship can take on the Crescent Wrath and win, then it has achieved it's goals of being tanky and cheap at the same time, but what would your opinion be in measuring the power of my ship design?
Anyways, I will take your suggestion about adding more point-defenses to my thruster ends. I will do so in the future. Thank you very much.
