I decided to make a modyfication, that would make your resources more realistic.
What it mainly does is change the game in such a way that you cant play with small ships, cause their resources will end. It makes your storage way more important than production, and also adds few quality of life improvements like a boubble shield. Smallest ship I was able to build that functioned right was size of a medium asteroid. Well. Actually It was an asteroid. With ship inside.
Now You need to scavange space [3x3 collectors] for ore and gas, that you refine into plasma betteries and metal and then ammo, or S-Fuel that is used for powerful weaponery [class "M"]
All collectors are in the "Collectors" group, rest of new things is in Munition group. Also one shield, 2 new weapons and one thruster.
Gotta warn you, dont load any saves cause it overrides quite a few vanilla files.
No graphics yet, this is technical demo. I reused vanilla models.
I didnt balance cost of things yet, so useful only in creative mode.
Remember to real all tooltips, they tell you what type of resource you need to operate them.
Comes with 2 example ships in main folder (you need to load them manually)
[death ray uses S-Fuel]
This mod is a CORE.
That means that its a base for other mods that may use or expand resource system added with this mod.

Why "Fluttercraft". you might ask? Cause If there is one thing that you will do after loading this mod,
will be flapping your wings and ragequitting when your limited resources end! [No, not because of my username]
Yes. Now you have limited resources. Its realistic now. Yay.
Basically - now you need to slowly collect resources from planets orbits and convert them into useful fuel and ammunition.
This solves few problems.
One is "swarming", so now small ships will be at a serious disadvantage versus big ones.
Second is relism of course.
Also you need bigger ships to convert all these resources into useful stuff like hi-tech ammunition.
Also boubble shields powered by S-Fuel. They are pretty good, but can be countered by EMP ray.
Currently mod doesnt have graphisc, I used the vanilla models for time being.
Things implemented so far:
- a death ray [tech M]
- new resource: S-Fuel [used to power tech "M" systems]
- S-Fuel converter

- Fision reactor [annihilates ore to produce energy]
- Fusion reactor [uses energy to make plasma production more effecient]
- More resources for tech G

These 3x3 reactors are collectors, not explosive at all.
Also, bullet factories are skins for other facialities for time being
FTL drives are skins for few things too
