The intended selected traits were the electro-static/sensory hairs as well as the ability to lay eggs to allow for rapid growth. The egg laying trait allows a single Spiverian to lay up to 400-500 eggs that are roughly the size of a golf ball. This leads to Spiverian Children being very small in their initial phases and very fragile creatures. However, they also unintentionally gained the night vision of the spider species they used. The electro-static quality of the sensory hairs was enhanced over time to allow free vertical movement on almost any surface. Voting Procedures: In Spiveria they use what is called an electoral college that operates like the US electoral system where one must win the majority in a state to get the state's electoral votes. However this is done in a three tiered manner due to how large the Spiverian Empire is. The first tier is called the State Electorate College; in this tier each an every city/town/village/commune no matter how small is given a single electorate vote which is won by winning the majority of the votes from the city/town/village/etc. An whoever wins the majority of the cities/towns/etc. wins the states electoral votes. The second tier of this process is called the Planet Electorate in which whoever wins the majority of the states/regions on a planet wins the votes of the planet. An likewise who ever wins the majority of the planets in a system gets the system's electoral votes.

Like in the USA the head of state is also the head of the military an has the ability to create/drop and change taxes.
Spiverian Infantry Weapons: the spiverians use plasma based weapons for their infantry; these plasma weapons fire plasma so hot and bright they cause flash blindness and burn the eyes of those who look at the plasma unprotected. That is why spiverians use dark shaded visors for their eyes that while semi-transparent provide adequate protection. This was intentionally done by design to create flash blindness. by hindering the eyes of their enemy that are unprotected by effectively "burning" them the spiverians gain an innate advantage. An because of how hot the plasma is it also causes a steam explosion on organic and robotic targets created by vaporizing the blood or fluids in a machine.

<--the LFC aka Large Freighter & Colonizer is a lightly armed freighter. In the past the Spiverian military considered this ship for production to maintain supply lines an to fuel planetary sieges. An while the Spiverian military to an extent does use it in such a way it is mainly a civilian ship for the purposes of transporting large amount of goods (represented by the large empty spaces) and for colonizing. This ship carries over 2,500 at full capacity the majority being colonist and marines/guards.
<--The freighter shuttle is a civilian ship designed for short range jumps and carrying supplies (represented by the empty space) the majority of its 40 carrying capacity are private security guards for the shuttle an its cargo.

<--(BD) the Scout Boat is a light craft designed and used for well scouting by the Spiverian Empire. It has a strong frontal shield with 6 laser guns; all 6 laser guns can fire forwards. 4 of these guns are mounted in the front and 1 on each side.
<--(BD) the light gun boat is used to take on other small craft (granted their target does not have electro-bolts). It is armed with 6 frontal lasers and 2 frontal electro bolts. there are 6 more lasers on the sides (3 to each side) with no rear facing weapons.
<--(BD) what the light gun boat can not take out the heavy gun boat can. its main objective is to eliminate small craft and corvettes. The heavy gun boat is armed with 4 frontal large cannons, 2 frontal electro bolts, and 4 side launching missiles. In addition to this there are 2 rear facing lasers and 4 lasers on the side (2 on each side).
<--(BD) the Bulb Corvette's job is to support the Heavy Gun Boat or take on corvettes by its self. It's secondary job however is to act as a PD screen for larger ships with 8 PD on the front and more on the sides of the corvette. The bulb corvette is armed with 6 frontal electro-bolts and 6 frontal lasers. In addition it has 2 lasers on the sides (1 on each side), 6 side way missile launchers, and 3 rear facing lasers.
<--(BD) The Heavily Armed Troop Transport aka the HATT is used to transport troops from point (a) to point (b) and can act as a light-to-medium frigate. it is armed with 4 frontal ion beams, 14 large cannons (7 on each side), 10 lasers (5 on each side), 8 electro-bolts (4 on each side)
<--(BD) The Boarding Ship (i will update design if actual boarding is made into vanilla) is a ship used by the Spiverian Empire to specifically board other ships. Its only weapons are several ion beams located at the front of the ship.
<--(BD)The Arrow Head Frigate (AHF) is a broad side light frigate which also acts as a faster transport compared to the HATT. due to its design however it is required to get much closer to its target than most other ships. It is armed with 1 frontal ion beam, 20 standard cannons (10 on each side), 20 electro-bolts (10 on each side) and 2 rear facing standard cannons.
<--(BD) this use to be the back bone of the Spiverian Fleet till being replaced by the Castle Heavy Destroyer. It is armed with 3 frontal ion beams, 4 frontal electro-bolts, 12 side firing electro-bolts (6 on each side), 16 standard cannons (8 on each side), and 16 lasers (8 on each side).
<--(AD) It is this ship the castle heavy destroyer which brought forth the greatest change in the Spiverian Fleet and method of arming their ships. Here the Spiverian Empire stopped trying to over whelm their enemies with lasers and cannon fire backed by a small number of electro-bolts in favor of causing mass system failures with mass volleys of electro-bolts backed by other weapons. while slightly lower than its original proto-type in terms of cost it is still a powerful ship. At first even the Spiverian Empire under-estimated this heavy destroyer. When a rebellion got a hold of two of these destroyers the empire had sent a single broad side cruiser to crush the rebellion. As the broad side cruiser approached the heavy destroyers and began a broad side engagement the rebels pushed one of their heavy destroyers into electro-bolt range. The broad side cruiser began to experience mass system failures in their shields and lasers allowing the cannons of the enemy destroyer to puncture through them starting mass fires and explosions. While this occurred the other destroyer pulled up to the front of the broad side cruiser and began to fire its guns as well.
the result was a massacre of the broad side cruiser's crew; none where left alive with minimal damage to the destroyers.
That was the starting battle and incident known as the Castle Wars as the war saw a ever increasing use of the heavy destroyers on both sides. eventually the rebellion was put down and the heavy destroyer was the first to be designated AD while all before it were designated as BD. AD standing for After Destroyer project and BD being Before Destroyer project.
The castle heavy destroyer is armed with: 6 frontal standard cannons, 8 frontal electro-bolts, 6 rear facing standard cannons 8 rear facing electro-bolts, 12 side way standard cannons (6 on each side) 20 side electro-bolts(10 on each side)
Post Castle Wars:
After the revolt from the Castle Wars was put down the empire was left fractured; attacked an beaten by its enemies territory taken away an some territory cut off before becoming independent states. An to add onto the troubles of the empire there were mass protest against the government for such causalities could have been prevented had the ships not been poorly designed with a tendency to go boom. An thus in a attempt to please the people and prevent further potentially worse lose of life in future wars the designation ADES was made. This designation shows the indication that the ship is experimental in nature an may or may not be adopted. The ADES program has created new ships but only two were ever officially brought into service.
<--this ship was the first of the ADES program known as ADES Cruiser (1). This ship is armed with two rail guns in the front an is other wise unarmed in the front. Rear armament consist of 2 heavy laser blasters and 4 electro-bolts. Side armament consist of 14 heavy laser blasters (7 on each side) an 28 electro bolts (14 on each side)
<----this ship is the second to have come from the ADES program known as ADES Cruiser 2. Unlike the ADES Cruiser 1 it has no railguns an instead opts for a forward weapons bay. Frontal armament consist of 6 heavy laser blasters, 6 electro-bolts and 4 normal laser blasters. The ships rear facing weapons bay consist of 6 heavy laser blasters and 4 electro-bolts. The side weapons bay consist of 4 standard cannons, 3 light laser blasters, and 14 electro bolts on each side.
<-- While the ADES program's primary concern was increasing ship production an survivability it was also looking to replace ships in current usage that are out dated an out performed by the newer ships of the empire's enemies. The result of looking for a heavy hitter was the ADES Battleship. A notable weakness however is the lack of shielding its two frontal railguns have which have led to costly repairs in its test fights when the enemy managed to get in an take out the gun.

<--ADES Sviper was the first to be officially adopted by the empire; its primary role is to transport troops an supplies. the slits in the ship in the middle are there for drop pods and behind this area is a open space to store shuttles and supplies. This ship is unique in the spiverian fleet because it has a single reactor room/core that was shifted to the right side of the ship to make room for the storage/shuttle section of the ship. Another thing that makes this craft unique amongst the fleet is a rather odd lack of any weapons on the front or rear of the ship. If one ever needs to take an engagement with this craft it is recommended to keep the enemy on the left broad side. However; it is recommended to avoid engagements as its purpose is to deliver troops an supplies. If one finds its self unable to runaway it is recommend to let other ships take the engagement while the Sviper waits for a few moments before rushing forth either to its designated planet or to move behind enemy ships an commit to broad siding the enemies rear.
Broad Side Weapons Bay: 7 standard cannons and 14 electro bolts on each broad side.
<--This behemoth of a ship is known as the ADES Freea. The Freea was the second ship to be adopted but not necessarily for practicality. This ship was designed to cause fear an terror to those who saw it. Its hefty armament although mainly a broad side ship also works in its favor for this purpose because it can dish out the punches needed to maintain its imposing aura. However, it is a very expensive ship; so much so that even the spiverians thought about ending its construction an added slits into its design to help save cost. This led to the Freea being named unofficially as the Slited One.
The Freea's frontal armament consist of 2 frontal railguns at an estimated 400% power and 6 standard cannons with 12 electro bolts. Its backwards facing weapons bay consist of 4 standard cannons an 8 electro bolts.
The broad side weapons bay consist of 8 standard cannons and 16 electro-bolts on each side.
As a whole the Spiverian Empire through this program had produced 100 ADES Cruiser 1s, 200 ADES Cruiser 2s, 10 ADES Battleships, 100 Svipers, and last but not least a single Freea. After the program had closed the empire had ordered the production of 10,000 Svipers an 100 Freeas. The Spiverian fleet is still re-arming its self from the costly civil war but the Spiverian Empire has no intention of staying quite. The first thing on the empire's agenda is to cleanse the pirates from its remaining space who had taken root during the Castle Wars. After wards the empire plans on expanding its fleet an intends to reclaim all of its territory an more.
Rearmament:
After cleansing their remaining space from pirates the Spiverian Military underwent a phase of rearmament and looking for ships to replenish their ranks.
<--the Pill Bug is a enlarged and modified freighter shuttle used to deploy troops planet side and to take on small corvettes as well as fighters/bombers. With the Pill Bug's armament it can clear out a landing area. An it has the additional role of a spy craft and long range scout with its array of sensors.

The Phalanx has two sensory arrays to pick up on distant targets an using this it fires its railguns supported by two ion beams. In a attempt to maintain speed it has multiple engine blocks which along with its hefty armor has brought the cost of it up to 6.5-7 million.
Royal Guard Ships:
<--The RG Brood Mother is the first ship meant to be solely used by the Royal Guard, The Brood Mother is a dedicated super carrier with limited return fire capabilities (P.S. ship was built using the huge ship thing an is massive it can hold up to 18 pill bugs on each hanger bay which to give you an idea is wide enough to almost fit the wraith and it can fit length wise in it so yeah my computer was lagging while I built this behemoth and I know this because I measured it by spawning in pill bugs as a measurement. an the empty spaces outside of the hanger bay can be used to hold more ships technically as well so.,.you spawn this in you will lag). Due to the Brood Mother being a super carrier it also works pretty dandy at carrying things other than other ships.
Major Events:
Castle Revolt: The Castle Revolt is the official name of the incident that started the Castle Wars; the revolt was not an ordinary revolt because the attempted coup was carried out by none other than the military or at least portions of the military. At first the rebels were organized but quickly went into their own separate factions that would work together on occasion each rebel general trying to take their own piece of the empire. At the height of the revolt the neighbors of Spiveria took note of the internal strife it had done so much to keep secret but the secret was bound to come out eventually. The more ambitious neighbors were the first to step up an invade the empire; the rest followed shortly after. Over whelmed the Spiverian Empire lost battle after battle and began a retreat from its own borders.
Battle for Spiveria: During the Castle Wars Spiveria its self the center of the empire became threatened with various foreign and rebel factions on the prowl. Foreign invaders had come together and made a concentrated push straight for Spiveria. By the time the invaders had reached Spiveria they were greeted by the Royal Guard fleets of each royal heir and loyalist generals. It was the largest armada assembled in Spiverian history at the moment; a total of 40,000 ships mostly broad side cruisers as Castle Destroyer production had hit a stand still thanks to the rebels. The invaders had gathered their own armada of 50,000 ships. The invaders had set their fleets into a wedge formation while the Spiverian fleets had set themselves in a traditional wall of fire formation with Bulb Corvettes acting as a PD Screen for their broad side cruisers; while their heavy gun boats and arrow head frigates were deployed forward. The opening scenes of the battle started with missile barrages aimed at the frigates an cruisers. Followed by foreign Corvettes engaging the Heavy Gun Boats of Spiveria supported by a small contingent of Arrow Head Frigates. The starting skirmish gave both sides of the battle a bloody nose to start off with. The invaders than charged forward with their wedge formations cleaning up what was left of the heavy gun boats and AHF as they started coming under heavy fire from the broad side cruisers. As the wedges advanced they began cutting deep into the wall of fire and when they fought their way through a clearing they thought they had won the day for surely the formation was broken into several groups by than. However as they spread out into the clearing they quickly learned there was another wall of fire formation behind the one they broke through an the "fractured" groups formed a wall on their sides like a door hinge without holding fire for a single moment. The High Admiral of the invaders however ordered the charge to continue. However several admirals in charge on the front ordered a fall back command to re-group. This caused a degree of confusion an panic amongst their ranks an few continued the push forward. Those that continued the forward charge were greeted by the remaining Castle Destroyers the empire had an were torn apart as the destroyers advanced through small gaps in the second wall of fire formation. While the catch was not as big as originally planned by Spiveria a catch was still a catch. As the rest fell back an re-grouped they were pursued by the Castle Destroyers leading to the invaders losing more ships before they turn around an engaged the destroyers. Mean while the broad side cruisers of the first wall of fire formation advanced with their bulb corvettes. As the destroyers fell one by one the Bulb Corvettes opened up with a barrage of missiles of their own as the broad side cruisers took position behind the destroyers. The combination of mass system failure brought upon by the Castle Destroyers and the heavy fire from the cruisers began fracturing the invading fleet but Spiveria was not bound to let them go with a mere broken "arm" an had sprang their second trap. Behind them a section of the armada that was hidden on the other side of the system came out of warp behind them made out of HATTs, AHFs, and broad side cruisers. The HATTs led the charge acting as the spear head with their ion beams cutting into their enemies' ships an continued forwards to deliver broad sides on both sides with the AHFs following suite with their own ion beams while the broad side cruisers stayed back forming a new wall. Meanwhile the second wall of fire formation had advanced an reformed with the now fully grouped up armada reinforcing the sides, north and south of their encirclement. With Spiverian ships inside their formation delivering ion beam strikes an broad sides in combination with the Castle Destroyers and cruisers on the outside firing into them the Invaders tried to surrender but Spiveria had rejected their surrender attempts an slaughtered the enemy armada whole sale. The aftermath of the battle was clear; the foreign invaders of Spiveria wished not to commit anymore resources to the conflict an instead reinforced what they had already stolen. The Battle of Spiveria was the last major offensive from the foreign invaders as the Empire slowly crawled its way back into several sections of space before stabilizing. The Empire had few resources to spare as sections that were cut off became independent an the rebel generals solidified their holdings.

Siege of Mallia: Mallia was an important port of the Empire an boasted a garrison of 2,000 ships mostly in the form of AHF. During the push by foreign invaders towards Spiveria they felt the garrison of Mallia could threaten their supply line or reinforce Spiveria an thus sent 5,000 ships to ensure a swift victory. However victory was anything but swift. The local admiral aware of his inferiority in both numbers and class of ship had begun a guerilla war hiding his ships on moons and the local asteroid belt. As causalities mounted the invaders sent more and more assets into the fray slowly grinding down the Spiverian resistance which came close to fighting to the death against the invaders.

Fall of Arkantos: Arkantos was the system home to a large military port were the majority of the empire's castle destroyers came from. Aware of its strategic importance the rebel generals came together to ensure little trouble came from this region. Arkantos boasted a garrison of 4,000 ships while the rebel fleet had contained 5,000 ships. With experience crew, captains, and gunners as well as the element of surprise on their side the rebels gained a sweeping victory over the loyalist.
Loses: Spiveria 3,900 (100 captured) Rebels 1,900 ships.
Cleansing Campaign: After the Castle Wars ended the empire had slowly begun re-growing its teeth; The first target? the pirates which had set themselves amongst the space of Spiveria. While Spiveria technically still had 20,000 star systems it could only control 10,000 due to the massive issue the pirates were. If the empire was to grow the pirates would need to disappear. An thus slaughter after slaughter the pirates began to disappear but slowly for they refused to go down without a fight. The campaign had lasted 200 years and was far from a one sided fight.
