Hi!, this is my very first attempt to make a mod, but reading a lot of others post, my idea may be not possible atm.
So, the idea is to get 2 parts: Railgun Shell container/holder & Railgun rail
the shell container does nothing by itself, but can store ammo/energy.
the rail, can do absolutely nothing without a shell container.
the rail needs to face the shell container in a specific direction.
multiple rails accumulate energy-drain/damage. the last rail have to be the one who actually shot the bullet. but it must use the shell container ammo.
I want to know if is this idea is actually possible. i have the sprites ready, but cant actually think a way of doing that.

I'm trying to figure out reading other mods scripts. but got nothing for now, maybe I'm just crazy and this isn't even possible, but I'll take any tip/comment.

    MaxwellKrioz it probably isn't possible to get it to work a specific direction but you could make some sort of new ammo maker that only has 1 or 2 openings, maybe it could even slow people (i do not know about much on modding)

        Inkless I see, but i cannot give up! ... actually I figured out how to specify parts to be used in a way using bubbet's energy wires (pretty cool stuff), but I' m stuck again trying to get the weapon firing, maybe i need to add 1 part more to be the cannon "tip". I'm still working on it, hopefully it will work!

            MaxwellKrioz I myself was working on this a little bit, you've clearly beat me to the punch, the issue i was running into was there isn't a way to prevent the ammo from constantly flowing, so your rail gun will need a constant stream of ammo and batteries to function. Eh i was working on other things.

                Thanks for replying Bubbet!, And you are very right, I'd solve the emitting of ammo & energy. but finally meet my end line. I cannot make the part "gunmount" to "tell" the part "rail" to star shooting. and the whole idea of having an modularized weapon is now gone for sure; yes, the rail part can shoot using the gunmount energy/ammo, but the main goal was to make 3 or 4 rails parts to "stack", also, the rail part does not care about directional positioning.

                I still have some other ideas, and still have this project sprites, I'm going to recycle them.
