TheLastBeacon We're called Cross Mining Co. because that was the founder's middle name- Avery Cross Senworth. Of course, this was a few years ago, even longer because Cross wasn't originally an asteroid mining company. Our company began in 2023, and was the primary mining company of earth until 2057, when earth became dry of legally mineable resources.
Now, about the lasers, They both function as a mining device and a weapon. What's more, they use teleportation technology, transporting resources to the nearest M.O.C., AKA the Mobile Operations Center. However, we didn't always use giant lasers. our cutters were the original mining devices, and the defective collectors, now seen in the Corruption, were supposed to collect the carefully cut remains. However, technological difficulties developed, and the collectors were scrapped.
