Docking

So,i don't know if someone already suggested this, but, this is my idea:
In cosmoteer, we should be able to dock ship. And add a docking port. Like in Kerbal Space Program, if anyone know this game. Or, we could make like smaller ships that come in and out of the side of a ship, with docking port.

In this case, the structure would be the docking port. They would detach, and attach.

This is planned, plus some even cooler things, like giant hinges that allow ships to transform their shapes.

Just on a side note:
Docked ships should remain locked (in exact same relative position) after a FTL jump.

What I really want, ok walt listen to me here. what if.. there was a ship where the side opened up with hinges and a ship came out and could fly around then after a while the doors would re-open and the ship would dock. thats the first thing im making when this happens
