i find it troublesome trying to make sure crews focus on the devices nearest to them, and only those devices. I suggest a mechanic that allows you to assign crew quarters to specific devices in list of priority (ie #1 priority, #2 priority, etc) To do this, Ctrl + LMB the crew quarter and then right click the modules/devices you'd like to assign them to. To organise priorities, Ctrl + LMB the crew quarter, which will pop up the crew module UI (like how Ctrl + LMB a gun causes the bottom left corner UI to pop up). In the UI will be a tab called "Priority management" (or something like that) which will open up a list of the assigned devices, each with a priority number box next to it (which will be filled in by the player).
