As of Cosmoteer 0.12.10_rc2, players are given a 100x100 pixel square sandbox to make starship in build mode. The canvas seemed spacious initially, we have witnessed ingenious designs that maximized the 10,000 px sq space. Due to the squarish canvas, some of the most powerful, non-detachable vanilla starships started to look, well, squarish.
100x100, 200x50, 80x125, ...
Wondered if the game engine would allow players adjust 100x100 grid to custom dimensions,
Eg 200x50, 80x125, etc.
- With predefined, reasonable min/max values of width & height, and
- Within the confine of a max area (eg 100x100) to help maintain performance.
It would be most awesome if Cosmoteer were supporting irregular shape canvas.
A rectangular canvas seemed more reasonable to ask for a start.
