dieaready JUST BEAUTIFUL.
The way you talk about it made me shiver at the end. I love some well thought out presentations. You even added lines to sectorize everything.
I must say, i never thought about surface are and volume when designing the ship (well, more like circumference and area, since it's a 2D game, but we get the point), and that makes so much sense it took my mind to another level entirely. Which got me thinking...
Building big sure is cool, but all the inside would be wasted volume, made simply to accommodate such a large size, make it even work. Building many small things counteract that, as you said. But if you build too small you'd be wasting surface area with thrusters, because they are big. The optimal way of doing it is making it it as flat as possible, to minimize wasted volume and maximize surface area covered with weapons. No wonder your Fool's Gambit 6in1 is wider than it is longer. Which got me thinking... Exodia is a big weaponized plank, it has been called so (lol), and it makes ultimate use of that theory. It also kinda makes use of the A.I. targeting, though, not as completely as Fool's Gambit. That's some really thought out design. I'll do some testing around it another day, since i'll have to go out in a bit, and tomorrow's saturday, a pretty busy day for me. But hey, worst case scenario i'll be back by sunday night.
I'm so glad i initiated this topic. This is exactly the kind of discussion i envisioned. Wonderful.
BTW, you beat Triple Exodia. can you beat my Exodia Prime without exceeding it's price over 3%?
