Your somewhat standard, run of the mill tournament, except that there is a fancy balance mod that all participants will be using. It can be found on the discord where you can also sign up for the tournament. The mod massively changes the nature and state of the game to a more idealized state, allowing different ship types that don't work effectively in vanilla.

The event in question is a player vs player competitive tournament, where players build and bring ships as they attempt to prevail. It will be a double elimination bracket, which means when you lose initially you get sent to the loser's bracket, where you can still win but can be knocked out of the tournament entirely if you lose there.
The tournament, as is the standard, will be streamed to YouTube while it takes place, allowing even non-participants to be a part of things and enjoy the event.
All comers are welcome, though be aware you must have a discord account and join the Cosmoteer discord to participate. Ask me any additional questions one might have, I'm eager to answer.
I'm hoping that this will be a glorious and tremendous last hurrah, and I encourage everyone to try and join, even and perhaps especially if they've been tired of the current balance arrangement
