The colors out of space (multi-faction-ish exploration event?)

The attempt is useful to a certain degree, as the rotation decrease to a reasonable level, and continues to slow down. Judging from the lack of any response, perhaps the station is already devoided of operating personnel, one way or another, but maybe the data contained within the station or what remains of the station would be useful to their adventure.

Not much can be made from the outside. Radiation-proof windows, while being a standard for most civilian space structures as an easy way to prevent crews from getting radiation poisoning, also prohibits most observation into the interiors...or perhaps the breach had already filled the inside of the station with the anomalous liquid-y environment as on the outside.
Entering from one of the larger breaches and revealing the interior, which although is quite chaotic but generally still within understandable levels of chaos. A few deceased bodies and paperwork floats around, with two individual-sized airlocks on either side of the breached compartment, nothing too fancy.

The small drone being similar size to a human makes its way into the station and towards the airlock, meanwhile the other ship goes around the station scanning it to find anything around it before making its way back to the ship it departed from

The airlock is quite hard to open through normal means due to the difference in pressure, but the drone simply cranks open with hydrallics and manages to enter, but causing part of the anomaly to flood into the structure as well. The interiors are surprisingly well kept, although opening the airlock caused a mess around with ornaments littered everywhere as well as a big puddle seeping into the red carpet, on the far end of the straight corridor pieces of vases and decoration pillars are still situated on two sides of the path uniformly, with the walls and ceiling opting for a western royal look, featuring chandeliers and a bit too shiny for daily living... which is quite peculiar for a damaged station, be it for the choice of aesthetics or the quality that such aesthetics are kept in.

As for the ship, aside from an additional few gashes on the hull, with more gas, as well as other contents, leaking out, there aren't any other note-worthy objects around the station.

The robotic voice echos along the corridor to no avail, but there seem to be several rooms on the side, but most are completely empty with only white solid walls, being so bland to a certain point it is almost being in a completely different place from the glamorous corridor. Upon the last one, it finally resembles more like a real room, with a moderate-sized bed, independent bathroom, and toilet, as well as a vanity table with several drawers for storage. Everything exteriorly looks fine, but the interior of the drawers seems to be occupied by some peculiar slimy and sticky substance in addition to the original content.
Finally manages to isolate the contents from the substance, the drone successfully fished out a damped notebook, as well as several pictures of humanoid individuals, possibly inhabitants of the station itself.
There is still one last entrance that the drone hasn't searched yet, located at the end of the corridor.

one of the marines, a combat engineer, would jump over the bar, grab a bottle of gin, and then re-group with the rest of the men. Lt. Wilbur would radio to Captian Berganmini that the landing had gone without trouble. There were no signs of life, hostile or otherwise, nor an evacuation. The station was just empty. He also conveyed the good news that a bottle of gin was waiting for him upon their return.

Wilbur would have the men fan out and search the station, moving up toward the station's centre, and he'd send the combat engineers to try and bring back on the life support systems/lights if they were offline, as the marines and the heavy weapons squad would move up toward the centre, they'd nick anything of value, or that could be used to explain why this now erie station had gone dark.

The group fanned out, each on their own task, and the combat engineers going to the lower floor to try and see what's wrong with the energy supply. After a while the ones responsible for the nearest rooms return with no contacts and a handful of paperwork as well as various trinkets, indicating that the friendly merchant had indeed docked in the station, but there doesn't seem to be a leave record for the merchant...in fact, the paperwork are all for documenting docking permits of various ships and with no leaving entries. Perhaps they are stored digitally in the terminal?
Before the group on the middle floor can make a move, a cry out originates from the lower floor...

The drone collects a sample of the unknown substance inside the draw, and makes scanned copies of the pictures and notebook before collecting them and sending the copies to the science ship, once compleated it move onto the last room.

Dumb (i mean, fair, but there are still four men all with rifles in a larger calibre than a Ma Duce and a worrying amount of High Explosive)
Wilbur would snap his head over to the direction of the screams, mortified* "Fuckin' 'ell," he'd then look to his men while contacting the heavy weapons squad in Comms. "Come on you wankers! let's get the fuck out of 'ere!"

The comms between the Quattro Di Picche and the men would be flooded as the men would regroup outside the last known position of the engineers. Second Lt. Johnson or, "boom Boom" from the heavy weapons squad would load what would be a mortal shell repurposed for taking out tanks into his IPAT-5 as First Class Specialist Mike would load the 23mm Belt into his Machine gun.
Wilbur would throw a flashbang into the room after shouting such action out, wait for it to go off, and shout the following to his men "STORM THE DOORS!" The men would pile into the room, possibly to their own death

(eh...just want to finally show off a glimpse of what was hinted in the name of the event...or at least, attempt to)
The first thing they noticed is the four unconscious bodies of the engineers sprawling on the ground, with intact gear and no apparent injuries...except for a big bruise on the closest one's head, which perhaps suggests that they are unconscious simply due to the flashbang.
After tending the "wounded", the men spread out, searching for what exactly startled the engineers so bad they go screaming and ran for the exit before one accidentally stepped on a puddle. Usually, a puddle isn't exactly that unusual, but remember that they are after all in space which is anomalous enough to behave like liquid, and possibly the same murky, dark liquid with oddly shiny sparks which looks like stardust, perhaps, just a small chance, that these liquid are from the exterior space, and that there may also be a breach which causes these liquids to leak in.

Wilbur would light up a cigarette, and take a long drag on it as he pondered what might've happened. he, without thought, would flick the cigarette butt into the pool of water watching it through its parabolic flight through the air.

the men would begin to look for anything of use to their expedition while on the station, along with trying to wake the Engineers. They'd loot any nick snacks that look interesting or might look good on display back home. the machine gunner from the heavy weapons squad, and the Light Machine gunner from the squad of marines would set up defensive positions on the exit(s) as they'd try to get the engineers back on their feet

The filter slowly spins in the air, and right before it hits the "water", Wilbur swears he see the liquid leap up slightly and engulf the filter. But now its only a burnt cig butt on a small puddle, and a ring of ripple spreading outward and disappearing.

As for the team, most of the stuff within the reactor room is bolted to the walls, ceiling, and ground, leaving only a few toolboxes available for looting. Defensive positions are set up without any obstructions, however, the engineers are still knocked out by the point-blank flash.

*Wilbur, a bit puzzled and frankly, frightened by the water's odd behaviour, would holler to his men. "Hey boys!" they'd snap their head over to look at him "Don't touch the bloody water lads..." he'd throw this empty cigarette box into the puddle, as a display for the men.

At least a few of the men would see the odd behaviour of the water, and after the murmured swears in Italian, Wilbur would radio back into command about their finding, Captian Berganmini made sure one of the ship's scribes would record this strange anomaly. They would continue to wait for the engineers to wake.

(thinking this is the space-equivalent of finding a puddle within a submarine/deep sea base, that's oddly calm of them...but I guess if its really a leak, being this calm would probably be better than panicking)

Before the group can get a good look and have the scribe came to study the puddle, the pool of liquid seems to sense something and slid behind the array of pipelines, losing its trace completely. In the meantime, the engineers were finally awoken. The one getting flashbanged in the face muttered some curses under his breath and look up to the crowd around.
"Ey what's with the party 'ere, yall finished already?"

Specimens successfully collected and data successfully transferred, the drone moves into the last room which the corridor connects to.
The red carpet in the hallway ends right on the doorway, where it is connected to a small set of stairs, leading to a vast amount of space spanning outward from the entrance, with layers of seats beyond that like a colosseum, if a colosseum can be entirely coated in metallic golden colors. High above the entrance is what seems to be the podium, but it is so high up there ain't much interesting to it except the well-polished and cleaned under side.
