Ancient Trials, Ancient Sins
Embassy
The spires of the Embassy glistened in the sunlight as halcyon wandered the surface, pondering.
He had learned a lot in the two weeks since he left the otherworld and parted ways with his unlikely companions. This… ‘Galaxy’ was called G-S16, it was a place that harboured countless stars, each a sun like the one above the world he once inhabited and countless of them harbouring their own civilisations. It was a lot to process.
He chuckled.
‘Guess the priests were wrong after all.’
He thought to himself, they always insisted that they were unique in the cosmos, the peak of creation. Born from the flesh of the Herald, the untouchable one.
He looked into the evening sun, the late light tinging the surface in a warm red glow.
If one didn’t know, they wouldn’t even notice that just recently the two most powerful entities in the galaxy had been here just recently, with one disappearing and one being dead now.
‘The world keeps turning.’ As these people said, he could see why and how but it was still baffling to him.
He had done some work, got some equipment and somehow managed to sustain himself these two weeks in this new world, it was, truly, a curious place. As long as there was work in need to be done and someone looking for employment it was likely they would come to an agreement. No fundamentalists, no caste systems, no…
He stopped. There were things better not to be thought about.
If his own world was somewhere out there as well?
He stopped for a couple of moments, closing his eyes and basking in teh evening sun with a neutral expression. Then, he shook his head.
He had other tasks now. They were not new, but they were his and it was why he had ended up here. It was time to move.
With new determination in his step he headed towards the building which was the forges embassy, they said they would help so he would take that help.
The Forge
A few minutes later the same man who Gillian had met in the otherworld on the Embassy stepped through the door of the Forges Embassy. He looked around apparently somewhat curious, though not surprised.
Logically not finding Gillian there, he spoke up.
”Greetings, I have been told to come here when I am ready, by a man who goes by the name of ‘Gillian’. Is this the correct...”
He did not seem to get to finish his sentence.
Instead he pushed his hand into one of his pockets, apparently searching for… something?
Only moments later it became clear to Dasha what ‘it’ actually was, as she herself got a notification the shard they received from the Herald had begun… vibrating?
It seems the time to continue their curious tasks had begun.
