Gray I agree! Tractor beam hold distance is currently decided simply by when the beam first hits the ship - allowing the player to decide the push/pull distance would allow the player to more directly influence the position of the enemy ship.

    It might be more useful to put a slider or spinner in the interface as this could be used to set a distance without having a target and have it stored the way ion prism orientations are. This would allow AI run NPCs to manage their tractors sensibly.
