The small force of vessels continue the advance through the field as scanners slowly go over everything they pass and the fighters continue a screen.
The Last Graveyard (Event)
The remains of a small HDC fleet arrive at the location. It contains 2 cruisers, 3 frigates and 10 destroyers.
The main Cruiser, the HDC Firestorm, leads the formation, followed by the second one. They scan the location as good as they could. The HDC Firestorm sends out a fighter squadron out of its small hangar. The fighters split up to search the ruins. The HDC Firestorm sends a message on every available frequency: "Can somebody hear us? Is there anybody left?"

(sorry, i forgot about this, if you want to i can continue or stop dis)
As the ships continue, they detect the HDC fleet arrive, and hear the message sent out. This seems to wake up some of the remaining ships, as two cruisers and one destroyer come alive and attack the fleet. On the fleets long range scanners, it is seen that more ships are near the HDC fleet as it sent out the message
ZendikaroftheWest The fleet directly goes into attack position. The frigates charge up their railguns with strong penetration cannons with explosive charge. The destroyed ships all around create a situation where the ships are closer to each other than in open space, perfect for the cannons of the frigates. the cruisers make their missiles ready (High explosive and HEAT) together with their 4 smaller nearly spinal railguns and cannons. All cannons load high shells with a solid heavy core or HEAT ammo for bigger calibers.
The fleet was caught by surprise, so it cant react to the attack directly. The cruiser tries to open communications, while chaos breaks out on the bridge
Hannizio
The fleet facing them consists of three attack cruisers, two missile cruisers, and twelve destroyers. They are split into two groups. Group one is about 14km from the ships on the portside, and group two is about 32km off the bow. Group one consists of the three attack cruisers and four of the destroyers. Group two consists of the two missile cruisers and the other eight destroyers. The attack cruisers immidateley launch their side mounted Eater-1 class self destructing attack fighters, which streak at the HDC firestorms bridge. They also begin firing volleys of beam fire at the cruisers. Missiles are launched from the missile cruisers, fanning out into a scattered pattern, meant to deter point defense. All of the destroyers close fast, beams firing from their many turrets.
ZendikaroftheWest (How did the 2 cruisers become 5 cruisers?) *The frigates fire their big stealth missiles. The point defense grid is working at maximum capacity but cant hold of all missiles. The first frigates come into position. knowing they are out gunned and outclassed, the Cruiser aim their heavy weaponry to the enemy, while destroyers try to flank and frigates accelerate to break into enemy lines while firing railguns.
The ships dont have any sort of shielding, but heavy armor and cannons. knowing this, they have to go all in and concentrate their fire, while not holding anything back.
the fighters are a hard target, but the defensive grid established by the PD of the frigates being coordinated near perfection can stop nearly all. The outpost at the top, mistaken for the bridge, gets destroyed, crippling the HDC firestorms sensor equipment and by this takes her out of fight for an unknow duration. Seeing this, the other cruiser sends a distress call to all HDC forces that might listen, but even they themselves doubt anyone would come
The Caloris armor of the bigger ships is able to hold of beam fire and other heat based attacks quite well, but the smaller destroyers get some critical hits, one loses his engines, another one is completely destroyed
The rockets flight patterns seem to cause quite some confusion for the AI controlling the PD. The weird form of flight lets it think it sees some kind of fighter and so only heavier PD starts firing. When an officer noticed the mistake, he changes some AI settings, causing some missiles to be overseen. the missiles hit hard and cause the Caloris to break up at some points and opening weak spots.
The destroyers closing up is a thread to the bigger ships, so the frigates try to snipe them with railguns while the first salvo of stealth rockets is sent. Those rockets are quite new, and nearly invisible to radar or heat sensors, especially while near ships. They time the railguns precisely so one can put down the shield of a destroyer, and the other shoots right through the middle. They use a special railgun ammunition, that splits into multiple shots mid flight to do maximum damage and maximum penetration, but to use this kind, the first have to shoot out the shells with explosive charge. They use these to aim for the first row of attacking enemies.
The only cruiser in battle condition tries to move in front of the HDC firestorm stays in the back, shooting with cannons while giving direction to launch missiles via Morse code and blinking lights to the HDC firestorm The cannons are heavy and rotate slowly. The shoot quite inaccurate but with a great velocity. It aims at th enemy cruisers and tries to keep them at distance
The destroyers swarm out to the side, ready to return to flank the enemy destroyers or to counterattack.*

that was kolas group
ZendikaroftheWest oh, good to know (sorry if my response was to much, this is kind of my first combat event)

Two destroyers are hit hard, with one receiving a direct hit on the centerline, and one being hit on the engines. The first one immediately detonates, but the second one, engines crippled, fires off its four ultralight antimatter torpedoes at the firestorm, as well as missiles to screen them from point defense. The other destroyers do the same, then break off, streaking past. The rockets hit three of the destroyers as they pass, but cause only superficial damage. The cannon blasts impact on the assult cruisers, slowly wearing down shields, and occasionally penetrating. Those that do, however, glance off the sloped armor, or do not go through. The missile cruisers fire another volley, this time detaching and firing their massive frontal missiles. The assault cruisers continue firing their beams, including their heavier spinal mounted ones.
ZendikaroftheWest *The fleet, seeing its shells bouncing off, decides to switch to HEAT ammo to even get into very hard angled slopes.
Detecting the torpedos, all PD fires on them. They do their best, and stop them, but in the end 1 frigate gets hit by the detonation of one of them and has its weapons on one side crippled. During this, some rockets slipped thorough and dealt a bit of damage to the hull of another frigate.
The destroyers seeing their chance coming, swarm, back in to block the way of the enemy destroyers. They fire their many smaller and some bigger cannons.
From the line behind the enemy destroyers, there come 2 frigates firing their railguns and try to get in between the destroyers to use both broadsides. Both aim their missiles, now HE missiles to put down shields who are visible to PD systems, at the destroyers.
The cruiser still tries to keep the enemy cruisers at bay and protects the Firestorm.
A small shuttle flies from the Firestorm to the other cruiser*

The destroyers immidatley turn about and head up, ̶D̶e̶f̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶s̶c̶i̶-̶f̶i̶ ̶n̶o̶r̶m̶s̶ streaking away. Two more destroyers are hit by the railguns, with one's left wing being destroyed, (Along with about a third of its weapons) and the other taking a direct hit on the bridge, sending it spinning out of control for a few minutes until control can be restored. The assault and missile cruisers, seeing their chance, come streaking in, with the missile cruisers attacking the HDC firestorm and it's guarding cruiser, and the assult cruisers sweeping in from the side to attack the destroyers. The missile cruisers, once within about 200m, fire their last load of missiles, all toward the guarding cruiser. They also begin firing from their two beam mounts. The Assault cruisers fire at the destroyers, concentrating on one spot on each destroyer.
ZendikaroftheWest The weapons of the cruiser fire. The Firestorm manages to reactivate some of its backup sensors. It sees that the fight is lost, and tries to escape.
The destroyers and frigates start targeting the cruisers. One of the frigate loads its railgun with a hydrogen bomb inside its projectile. The escort cruiser has no broadside weapons, but shoots all its guns at the assault cruisers. It has taken some serious damage and only the thick armor and layered ring design has prevented its death. Chaos is everywhere and the first escape pods launch.
The beam mounts give the rest to one of the main turrets of the cruiser.
The concentrated fire of the front facing weapons of the guardian cruiser manage to penetrate the shield of one of the missile cruisers and shooting a few heavy rounds right into the hull
The PD of the cruisers is overwhelmed by the missiles and they hit the armor of them hard

While it seems that the fight is lost, something has changed. One by one, each ship loses control, falters, then detonates. However, in what seems to be the last dying breath of a great empire, a cone expands from the center of the wreckage, preserving the ships, but removing... Something. As it reaches the HDC ships, it flows through them, removing all FTL components and fuel, as well as any FTL blueprints. The ships are then blown, along with the wreckage, to another system, far away. They are now in orbit of a blue-green planet, with no maps, FTL or way to get home. It seems that they are trapped here now.
ZendikaroftheWest Question: Do I still have my reactors and fuel for them? Do the escape pods teleport along?
*All ships are in confusion. No one really knows what happened. Just when they thought they where save, a big explosion rips the guardian carrier in two halves. This leaves it crippled. The Firestorm would want to start a rescue mission, but only simple visual sensors work. For now it is to risky to fly close with another ship, in case of a second explosion caused by ammo burning For now the ships stay in orbit. Both parts of the Cruiser have live support systems good enough to keep the crew alive, but without thrusters, the front part is doomed to fall down sooner or later
For now waiting is the only option they can take, since all long range communication and scanning devices are on the badly damaged cruisers*
Hannizio
reactors, yes, and fuel, but no way to go to ftl. and yes they do
Hannizio
When the cruisers comms and sensors come back online, they find...nothing. No star, no planets, no galaxy. Nothing but the planet. Whatever brought them here must mean for them to explore it.
ZendikaroftheWest *The crew agrees they have to explore the planet. The Firestorm is the only vessel with dropships on it, so it has to send a small expedition force on the ground to secure an area.
The first units to land are light infantry with the mission to set up communications.
After this heavy weaponry like tanks comes onto the ground in the second wave
The third wave will contain mostly scientific, supply and other auxiliary equipment
The managers of this exploration will come with the fourth wave of landing craft if the parameter is secure
The biggest problem is to keep everyone warm, since the planet must be very cold because nothing but nuclear decay in its interior warms it. To provide this, special shelters and space suits are a must have.
There is no way to give air support, and ground numbers are very limited, but the Firestorm is capable of limited orbital precision strikes
The 2 dropships available can carry infantry modules, capable of holding 30 infantry man each, together with some basic equipment and standard gear, like space capable suits.
The heavier modules are capable of carrying 2 tanks through atmosphere or space, in an environment with not too much turbulences
The first wave of 80 infantry men starts to land*

Oddly, The atmosphere is warm, (Similarly to modern day earth) and is breathable. When they touch down, they see a grassland, with trees in the distance, and a vibrant beach. However, in the distance, there is a small obelisk, with a village at its base. Birds chortle in the trees, and all is peaceful.
ZendikaroftheWest
Question: what does the village looks like? Is it protected by a wall? What about light? Is there night and day?
Also, sorry, In the first wave only 60 men arrived, I forgot I changed the number for each dropship from 40 to 30.
*The Infantry starts establishing a security parameter for the landing zone.
They build up small trenches facing the village fast while also putting up mgs and other heavier weapons. They establish communications. As soon as the first scientific devices are put up, they realize the atmosphere is not only breathable, but also warm. The tanks land as planned and are put up behind the trenches and are used as additional mg platforms with good protection.
Once seeing the village and realizing that there must be smarter lifeforms here, the general that was landed in the 4th wave gives order to get artillery on the ground together with more tanks and some scouting vehicles.
The dropships are on their way to deliver the request, while the general orders a scout party of 5 men to be ready to enter the village, if everything goes well. They are equipped with night vision and infrared googles. One carries a heavier mg, the others assault riffles and one of them has an RPG in addition to that. They also have normal grenades and flares. Every step they do it observed by the sensors and cameras of one frigate*
Hannizio
The village is peaceful, without a wall or anything. A few towers are there, but nothing big. As more dropships arrive, a bell starts clanging, and a few people emerge from the largest of the houses. Oddly as well, there is no night or day, only a early moringish sort of light.
