Breif History
17 years ago, the United Systems of Revia broke into two distinct factions when the subject of building a warp gate that would allow the exiting of their star cluster became a serious consideration. These two factions the "Traditionalists", and the "Expansionists" argued for months over the decision, and with tensions rising higher, the Expansionists broke off and started the Revian Civil War. This war would last for 6 years, breaking down the prosperity and development of the last century. Eventually, with almost half the population gone and almost 5 billion lost, an agreement would be settled upon. The two broken nations would come together and form a new government built on many of the principles of the last. The warp gate would be built but measures would be put into place to preserve the Revian culture, and among other things, Revia would adopt several policies to limit the deminishing of the Revian Culture, and to ensure the state's sovereignty
The Revians
The Revians are the sole species of the Federation. They are around 6ft on average and are brightly colored in blues, yellows, black, and sometimes even red. Revians also have a ring-shaped head crest on their crown which is made of a hard, ivory-like substance. Revians have unusually long life-spans, living usually around 250 years.
Culture
Revians have very deep ties to their religion and their traditions, and due to their lifespans, Revians view old age as less of a hinderance, and more of a sign of status. But even with their strong connections to their beliefs and traditions, many Revians have a spark of curiosity in them, something driving them to keep advancing and to keep discovering. This spark would ultimately be their friend and foe, bringing them to new heights, but also dragging them down into tragedy. Revians also view the idea of Emperors and Empires to be vile and evil. They believe that claiming to be an Emperor, and therefore having a mandate from heaven, is an offence to the idea of religion in general.
Religion
The Revian religion isn't defined by it's name or it's structure, and never has. The core belief of the religion is that god manifests himself in different ways, whether it be many gods, or a singular god, Revians believe all religions (aside from death cults and stuff like that) to be valid.
Territory
The Revian Federation and its precursor states reside solely in the "Trapezium Star Cluster" and have so for as long as records show. This star cluster is relatively isolated from the main galaxy, with the only natural FTL route to the cluster being highly unstable. Currently, the Revian Federation controls all of the entirety of the cluster, which rounds out to 34 systems, 4 of which are colonized and another 12 are colonization candidates.
Economy
The Revian economy is heavily reliant on the movement of resources, whether that be the movement of raw materials or the trade of finished products. This is facilitated by the resource rich systems of the Trapezium Star Cluster. From the highest quality metal alloys to cheap consumer goods the Revian Federation makes it all in mass. But this system of trade has been distruped by the civil war. And as such the Federation has to make the slow grind back to it's former prosperity.
Government
Legislative
The Federation is split up into semi-autonomous governing sectors. All of which send 5 representatives to the Revian Parliament for a grand total of 45 Senators. These Senators elect a Prime Minister out of one of their own, who relays their decisions to the other branches of government and to the people.
Executive
Headed by the highest ranking military personell avaliable, the Executive branch handels war, policing, and counter-terrorist operations among other things. While they have little political power, the branch is respected as the head of national security.
Judicial
The Judicial Branch's main function is to keep the other two branches in line, and also to pass laws written up by the Legislative Branch.
