The INCC have discovered a radio dead zone in between their current station and a shipyard being constructed. This would normally be written off as a black hole, if it weren't in the middle of nowhere....and giving off its own signal.
The Signal appears to be vaguely electromagnetic in nature, though its disruption of even the most resistant of signals the INCC has is baffling. Without the military necessary for an exploration, the INCC has put out a galaxy-wide request.
Attention to any interested in a scavenging run. There is a radio dead zone in ===============. It seems to be a hard cancel for any comms, and has been confirmed to be emitting its own signal which doesn't match that of a black hole. Your reward? Well, whatever you find there. We don't have anything sufficient, we're still trying to find our metaphorical keys.
_The area is in complete ruin. It is a very old battlefield. Indeed, your FTL was halted by a strange cloud of red mist that acted like a net. A very jarring stop for your drives. Upon getting within 1 AU to the 2-planet-sized battlefield, your transmissions cross-ship become watery before just ending. Total silence. Any creatures apart of a hive mind get a slight headache, and cannot communicate telepathically either.
INCC ships are scattered, the can-shaped hunks of metal torn asunder, small debris floating about. Fighter-sized chunks of....something like flesh that are frozen float lazily in space. What must be a thousand ships are around, some out of the battlefield by surprising distance. On top of all that, more of those red mist clouds are generously present._
RULES
- There really is no signal-based communication. At all, no exceptions. Things like wired comms work fine.
- Exploration is a must. For rp purposes, find a reason to actually look through, and not just blow it to kingdom come.
- No cross-interacting with other participants.
