As she grabs the bottle Arra lifts her hand to point something out but decides to not bother. Her kettle pours hot tea into her cup. As Nat tells her about the mass driver she just stares at it, remaining silent.

She takes another large drink of the liquor.
"Mmm."

"I also lost family once to an invasion..."

She sets a hand on arras shoulder once again.

She stares into the ground. Her eyes were making slight movements ever second as if she could not keep her eyes on any specific point.

"...You wanna talk about it?"
Natalie sets the bottle in the air and turns towards arra, looking towards her eyes.

"It was a TIE attack on Anrillia. I was there and they rushed us to the underground secure facility in the council building. I remember looking out of the fake digital windows and just seeing fire... The sky was dark, there were flashes of light, buildings were falling. This is what war brought. Nothing but death and destruction. My brother ran a business on the south side of the planet. He was being evacuated, probably scared." her voice became shaky. "The building next to him collapsed onto him. It took weeks to find his body..."

natalie tries to calm arra down by rubbing her back
"I understand.. im sorry for your loss..."
She gently sighs
"If there is anything i can do to help, let me know."

Arra looked up from the ground. "I already have all the help I can get, but thank you."

"Alright.."
Natalie grabs the bottle once again and takes a drink, before setting it back down and looking towards arra.
"Hah. This started as some interview thing, but now it just feels like im spending time with a friend."

"Yea... dad always said I got along with people well." she took and held her teacup but she did not drink from it.

"Well, it seems he is right."
Natalie moves her hand back to her side and she takes another drink from the bottle. She looks at it, realizing it is half gone, and closes it up before setting it back down.

The bottle just says in place in the air and straightens out. "Oh, um where were we?"

"Oh. Hmm. i dont remember.."
She thinks for a moment
"Oh, yeah."
She straightens her back and shoulders.
"Emile.. We were tasked to defend a ship while it prepared to launch from drydock. the UNSC Pillar of autumn. Emile was on the mass driver, i was defending the ground. While emile was busy a dropship came up behind him and a team of Elite zealots dropped down. He killed both of them but got stabbed through the stomach in the process. He died, i took the mass driver, destroyed an enemy ship, and was left behind by the pillar of autumn. I chose to be left behind to save it."

"I almost didn't. I don't know what it was that brought me here, to G-S16. But I would've died if I wasn't brought here. I almost died anyways from my wounds.."
She just barely pulls up her sleeve and lifts up her chin, revealing a small portion of the many scars she has from battles, one being located on her neck, crossing just over the jugular, luckily the initial wound hadn't been deep enough to cut through said thing.

Natalie once again puls her knees up to her chest, resting her chin upon them with a somber look
"Yeah..."

After sitting there quietly for a while, natalie looks back over towards arra, slightly smiles, and quickly looks away, hiding the lower half of her face within her arms
