Mak: a Swarm of Drones that use any material to Replicate, Lost to Time. (Mak Owned by Yobeef)
G-S16: Galaxy-September 16, a Galaxy Teeming with Advanced Life, and due to unknown Reasons, A Beacon for New Races' arrival.
The Age of Beginnings
There was a Planet Much like earth in the Origin galaxy, with one Major Difference: The Atmosphere is almost 80% Carbon Dioxide. Due to the Planets Relatively far Distance from the star, this evens out with the Greenhouse effect, giving the Distant planet an earthy Look. Plants there use CO2 to produce oxygen, but much, much less of it. Seas are much more Sparse, leaving only 2 Moderate Sized Oceans, and many continents. Water Flows through the Continents, freshwater rivers and lakes dotting the surface like Scars. 3 Major Species gained intelligence across the landscape. On the Northern, More Extreme Mountains, a Shorter Race appeared around 200,000 BPU
Species name: Unggoy
Height: Around 5 Feet on average. The Highest Recorded height is 2 meters flat, and the shortest fully grown height is 1.3 Meters.
Description: Unggoy are Very resilient to Extreme Weathers, they have an Exo and an Endoskeleton, as well as Thick Leathery Skin Just on the Edge of the Exoskeleton. they have sharp teeth and Claws, reproduce rapidly, and Commonly have brownish-Grey Skin.
In the Southern island Chains, another Species developed, Honor-Bound, their civilization grew much like modern Japan, but with one major difference: they didn't end up isolationist and outdated technology. They appeared around 195,500 BPU.
Species Name: Sang'heili
Height: On Average around 2.8 meters. The highest Recorded Height is 3.5 meters, while the shortest is 2 meters Flat.
Description: Four Mandibles, Grey Skin with Scale-Like Skin. Semi-Reptilian, but not cold-blooded. they Have 3 Fingers, 2 of which are opposable thumbs. Their Knees bend Backwards instead of Forwards, making it harder to use normal ladders. They Are Very Strong, Able to Compete with Some Super soldiers, even without Armour or modifications.
The Central Plains, down In a Very Deep basin, had Slightly Stronger Gravity due to the immense depth of the basin. As a Response, Heat-Resistant, Strong Boned Creatures lived There, They Had Much longer Legs and Stronger Endoskeletons than most races, but they found it a bit harder to live when removed from the Higher gravity. Unggoy had No trouble lower down due to their similarly Strong Skeleton. The First Ancestors of the San'shyuum appeared as long ago as 300,000 BPU, but the more modern looking ancestor appeared around 150,500 BPU.
Species Name: San'shyuum
Height: varied, but most were a bit shorter than Sang'heili, though quite a few Equaled their height at their primes.
Description: More Humanoid than the Rest, they had Tan Skin, with a Flat face, Long Arms, and Long Legs. they Have Strong Skeletons and do well in higher Gravities. The San'shyuum aren't very fit for battle, and Quite a Few Get into politics, though you can occasionally find the San'shyuum Warrior.
The First Age of Conflict
After Centuries of developing separately, the first contact between two species was made. Some Sang'heili were voyaging north, just to see what was out there, and they met a small Unggoy fishing village, sitting on the side of a mountain. steep paths crawled up the mountain, houses teetering over the edge, unggoy moved back and forth from house to house, and small fishing boats moved out to shallow sea. The Sang'heili tried talking to them, but the languages were completely untranslatable, leading to a misinterpretation, and a massacre of the village. Sang'heili killed citizens because an unggoy pulled out a fish gutting knife off to the side, and the warriors took it as a threat, wiping the village out, as it had no military protection. Afterward, Unggoy and Sang'heili warred for many centuries, while san'shyuum watched from the sidelines. after hundreds of years of endless conflict, the watching san'shyuum translated the languages and stepped in to solve the conflict. Tensions between Sang'heili and Unggoy never really left until much, much later. After all these Conflicts, unggoy civilization had been forced deep into the mountains, making them rely on trade from the san'shyuum and ice fishing in the frozen northern waters.
Current Territory owned as of 8,000 BPU:
Sang'heili: All of the Southeast island Chains, Large swathes of land on the Northern and Southern Coasts.
San'shyuum: All of the Great Basin, and Most Western lands.
Unggoy: Pushed Back into the Mountains and Far Northern Ice Tundras.
The First Age of Unification
After Thousands of years of war and tension, the three species slowly began to get along more, tensions between the unggoy and sang'heili still existed, but were low enough to allow relative peace. eventually, at the very last day of 1 BPU, the Emperor of The Sang'heili Empire, The Prophet of the highly Religious San'shyuum, and the Unggoy's Council of External Affairs and Relations, nicknamed CEAR (Pronounced Seer), met together to discuss the future. at the final hour of that day, a decision was made, the 3 Species would unite, and Work together, and stop the pointless, bloody wars. Many Years passed with peace, and eventually, the first ship reached Kel'thul's Moon, named Iana. After many more Years of Expansion, the First Colony Ship was Created. Unggoy and Sang'heili Left for a Distant Livable planet closer to the Kel-System's Star, named Kel II. The Colony Grew, ships came Back and Forth, more Expansion over more Centuries. Their Ships were very different than the ones they use today, the old ones being Simple Rotating Cylinders with no Artificial-Gravity Devices, and just using the Centrifugal Force to keep gravity in the Ships. No Ships were even mounted with Weapons just yet.
The First Age of Discovery
After many more centuries of expanding their colonies and their borders, they had colonized all 3 livable planets in their system, had begun mining asteroids and outer dwarf planets. Ice was being mined from passing comets and rings of gas giants. All was well, and they decided to begin expanding beyond the walls of their Ort cloud.
Project: Full Circle
The Project was started around 6,000 APU, with Head Engineers working together to develop a ship that is fully self-sustaining, and able to keep thousands of civilians under some sort of Cryo-sleep, allowing them to set up in a new system, and send back some sort of samples in small probes. The first obstacle was Cryo-sleep, which was figured out relatively quickly. The next obstacle, is the sheer scale of the ship required to do this, and the mechanical problems with having a ship spinning for so long. and thus, a question arose: What if they made artificial gravity, without spinning a ship? Work began immediately.
Artificial Gravity Generator.
With a New Revolutionary Technique, the San'shyuum engineers discovered a way to convert Energy to Graviton particles, it is unknown how this discovery was made, but it is assumed to have been an accident. This was immediately considered and tested, and it was discovered to work, but with one major problem: How do we get this much power to keep it running?
The Code was Cracked. They figured out plasma reactors, massive generators That use a Small amount of Plasma in reserve to Activate a Powerful Heating element, able to turn almost any material into plasma, granted the item has the ability to do so. The Generator is usually filled with Easily Procurable gasses such as Carbon Dioxide, or Useless Oxygen, though Solid and Liquid Matters can also be used, such as Waste products, if desperate measures require it. due to the nature of this, the gas in question can be slowly pumped into the generator over the thousands of years it would take for the ship to reach the new System.
The First Age of Doubt
After almost a decade of construction of the Ship, it was finally launched. Many people were skeptical of the possibility, and Duobted the ship would make it to the new system. and after the Expected deadline of arrival thousands of years in the future passed, many gave up on it. it wasn't until ten years later, the first Radio signal arrived back from the colony ship...
||Ship Arrived Safe, Planet inhabitable, Unknown Ships Offline, Orbit. Investigating.||
People Cheered as they read the beginning of the message, but then confused noises began with the Second Half. Confusion Passed, and they sent their own message, detailing That They should not Investigate the Ships, but as they sent the message, it was too late, and something appeared in the home system of the Kel'thulian Empire...
The Second Age of Advancement
A Huge ship, almost a Kilometer long, Appeared out of a Portal in the Home of the Covenant, and it immediately contacted Kel'thul's ground Bases with one of the colony ship's Spare Radios.
||The Ships were Abandoned, and we made use of them. We are a Skeleton crew from the New Colony, and this Ship has Technologies we Never could have hoped to Create...||
The Ship Was Immediately swarmed with other Ships, the same old Designs, some no longer spinning, and with the Graviton-Drives installed. Decades were spent Decoding the Technologies. Slipspace Drives and Comms, Plasma Weaponry, and something they quickly realized would be Dangerous if put in the wrong Hands: Energy Projectors.
These new Technologies were Studied for years to come, and the Ship was used to Send Messages back to the colony, as well as Supplies, when it wasn't busy being studied from inside-out. after some time more people went over to the colony and Manned the other 2 Ships in orbit of the New Colony, named Horizon. The 2 Ships were Slightly Smaller than the First and Required much less to man them. The Larger ship was given the Designation of 'Diviner' and is considered a predecessor to the Modern Divination Class Destroyers, and the 2 Smaller ships were given the designation 'Advancement' and 'Survey', and are Considered the Predecessors to the Reconnoiter class Heavy Corvettes.
The Second Age of Discovery
Many Years Pass With New Discoveries Flooding In, Far Planets that the Three Races never thought they would reach became within grasp to the once small set of colonies. They Spread among their small star group, Colonizing, growing, and Advancing through the Ages. All Went Well, until one day, another group of Xenos was spotted in a system. the Ships of these Never-before-seen beings looked as if they were scrapped together, plating constantly looking as if it would fall off from the slightest touch. The Ships had Weapons on them of unknown design, maybe cannons, maybe energy weapons. These ships Reached around Half a Kilometer long at most, so if a fight were to break out, it shouldn't be too much of a problem, or so they thought. The Kel'thulian Corvette 'Advancement' Moved in, and attempted to make contact, but nothing got through. Energy Readings came from the Strange Weapons of these alien ships, before a Massive Arc of Yellow Plasma Shot Out Of them. and Thus, the Second Age of Conflict began.
The Second age of Conflict
The Ships Fired upon the 'Advancement', as the shields of the corvette are lit yellow from the beams of plasma pushing against the protective forces of the shields. the Kel'thulians were not prepared, so their weapons had to charge before they could even retaliate. The Ships of the Xenos, later Known as the Kig'yar, stopped firing their Plasma Guns for a split second before the Onslaught of plasma began again. This time, however, the Kel'thulians Fired Back. the Old plasma cannons of the Advancement Creaked as the First Shots Pushed out of the Cold Steel Barrels, Balls of Plasma Slamming against the Unshielded metal of the Kig'yar ships, but even with this, they were too late. Before the Advancement could even begin evacuations, the Shields failed, and the Plasma began ripping through the ship's hull. The Beams Destroyed much of the Advancement before the first life-pods escaped, the Reactor of the ship was destroyed, and a massive blast evaporated anyone still near the reactor, and the Advancement was lost. None Escaped, as the life-pods were destroyed by swinging debris, and presumably the Weapons of the Kig'yar Ships.
Thus a Retaliation was planed. the Destroyer 'Divination', Corvette 'Survey', and a New Ship of Kel'thulian Design, the 'Vanguard', a Small 300 Meter Long Ship, which is considered the Direct Predecessor to the Current Day Vanguard Class Patrol Frigate. The 3 Ships Moved Out Towards the Wreckage of the Advancement, where the two Kig'yar ships were still scavenging around, not expecting more of the Intruders. The Kel'thulian Ships Wasted no Time, and The Plasma Cannons Fired at the Kig'yar Ships. the one already damaged by the Now-Deceased 'Advancement' was Quickly Destroyed by the Hundreds of Rounds of Blue-Purple Plasma. The Second Ship Charged its Weapons and Fired upon the Vanguard, which quickly began to Maneuver around the beam, as the turret it sat on moved much slower than the ship itself. the Vanguard Fired Back with Plasma Cannons, as well as the 'Divination' and 'Survey', who Used the Powerful Bombardment Cannons on the Lower Side, which the Kel'thulians did not Yet know the True reason they were created, and instead used them as main batteries. the Kig'yar ship was quickly Destroyed. The Kel'thulians Found the Worlds of the Kig'yar, Destroying Defense Fleets, Capturing One of the Kig'Yar ships, a Destroyer Class like the 2 First found, and After Decades of War, losses, and Gains, Finally Captured the Kig'Yar Home World, not without the Loss of the 'Vanguard' and another Ship of the Same Class that was named the 'Paladin'.
The Second Age of Unity
The Kig'yar Were Broken, Defeated by the Kel'thulians. they Expected to Be Wiped out but instead were held an open hand. in exchange for them joining in the Union of the Kel'Thulians, and gaining a few seats on the Council, They Were Given Aid in Rebuilding, Help making New Cities, and Moving out of old overpopulated worlds. they Kig'yar took this offer. and Thus a New Race was added into the Empire.
The Third Age of Advancement
The Technology of the Kig'yar ships was not ignored, and the stolen one was studied long before the addition of the Kig'yar. The Weapons in particular were interesting, and they were Immediately Considered to be added to the ships of the Kel'thulian's small Navy. These Weapons are Energy Projectors, though they are Nicknamed Plasma Lances due to the different kind of Energy projector discovered long Before this one. The Weapons were installed on The Now-Called Vanguard Class Frigates, and an Upscaled Version Installed upon the Divination. Some Tweaks were made to create Purple-Blue Plasma Instead of Yellow, though the Yellow-Green of the Original Beams was not lost, and instead Implemented one New, Unique Design of Weapon, which in reality is a heavily modified Plasma Cannon Designed to Fire Powerful Overcharged bolts of Thermal and Electro-Magnetic Energy, Creating a powerful EMP effect upon hitting anything Electronic or Mettalic.
