Part 4
Heat, the expansion of gasses in a mere second, with the same effect of bullets that lash out violently against the medium of water sinking with tremendous force before being stopped therein, and sinking quietly downwards. The winds pick up from the delta of the impact, first, a large constant shockwave lashes out against the rocky surface of the planetoid, lifts up debris as it goes and carries over, then, the tremendous heat picks up, blinding unprotected onlookers, cooking the rocky surfaced into a boil or gas. The impacts over the upper atmosphere cause a tremendous flux of electrons to realign within the planetoid, effectively, the atmosphere turns into a planet-wide EMP effect.
At least, this was the first few seconds of it, as it pierced through the atmosphere, but those were the only few moments where the soft cushion of the gaseous layers of planets would protect, perhaps not even enough for unlucky bystanders to get into ineffective shelters. Then, the most horrible effect gets to the surface, it was previously an effect that spread across a certain depth of atmosphere, cushioned by the physical phenomena of heat transfer knocking about the loose atoms of the ionosphere. No such phenomena is found here, as now, the trillions of pellets find safe embedding within the layers of hardened rocks, which gladly absorb all of the impact of the projectiles.
“This is the Head-Engineer of the Sub-Oceanic Research Base, it appears that you have some ties with the plant that we just ousted from the core of our planet, care to come in and have a talk? Just enter the airlock to your... uhm... left, on the blue light.”
The old man himself? That must mean that he has been at the job for longer than she had been, for quite a while… Makes me wonder how long he’s been at this sunken rock.

“The object is aimed at killing civilizations and extracting their energy… Though its efficiency is not the best, as you can see.”
This dark figure came from outer space, was it the one that caused the Rectifying? It seems to have been the origin for the large anomaly within the planet, which caused us to evacuate it in the same place, but why? And why was this interaction kept secret?

“There is a kind of energy that is intangible to most, however, natural to others. Through eons I have studied it yet I still do not know the vast complexities of its nature. It is an energy natural to all beings deemed alive, I believe some religions call it a “Soul”.
In the near future, my time will come. Before my deed is done, I will impart you with this knowledge, acquire the understanding I could not, Farewell.”
The ineffable figure hands to the Head Engineer a dark and thick book, oozing some kind of undefinable energy. I thought that the soul was simply something religious, the realist and materialist within me didn’t even consider that other levels of energy like that were possible. Perhaps we were misguided from the start to not believe such things so we wouldn’t wander too close to the secrets of our civilization...

“Let I make it clear that WE are your boss, Ghern.”
An unknown lizardman figure hits its clenched fist at a large glass table of a secret meeting room within the SORB, referring to the Head Engineer who, at the first time in my life, is actually taken back by something. he quickly shriveled up and reclined backwards upon his chair, however, soon enough he inclined back again and began, but not before the figure could get a few more words out:
“Your mess with project Elohim was already a catastrophe, imagine if he rememb--”
“Of course… sir. It shan’t happen again. I will conduct the tests in a much more controlled environment… You must understand that, these are new and unexplored frontiers, it--”
“Oh please, save me your excuses.
…
You know we cannot allow these things to get out, you’re the best we have, Ghern, but you won’t survive if things go sour, you know that.”
The figure stands within the room for a while more, before making a leave, away from the camera. And eventually, leaving the SORB itself, seemingly, nobody questions their presence, or barely even notices them passing by. Who could be the boss of the Head Engineer?

A large experimental testing rig is activated by the Head Engineer, it spins up madly and distorts locally spacetime, though it is no Hyperatomic Anvil. Instead, it emanates the same energies that the book of the black figure did. As it reaches an apex, it catastrophically collapses inwards, like a blue black hole it sucks up the whole testing apparatus, which luckily was contained within a testing chamber. A very frustrated Head Engineer enrages and picks up part of the control panel, ripping its facet off and throwing it off to the side, producing a sudden recoil of his two ever-faithful assistants, Dosvith Stavath and Ankhbet Dumos.
He then goes over to a wooden pedestal, where the book of that figure sits, flipping through the pages of content rather carefully, but with due haste still.
That is, until he is stopped by the forceful entrance of another powerful entity, this one however, glows differently than the last one. Its entrance provokes a static on the equipment, however, it reveals his easily identifiable origin quickly, the mythical wolfman at the commercial center of the galaxy, The Ambassador. Though obviously, he is different, no different in appearance, but yet, different in perhaps power? Age? Wisdom?
“I see… I did not expect the lizards to have this power…
Say to me, you! How have you come to know of this? These secrets are not yours to unlock.”
The Ambassador points at the Head Engineer, whose name appears to be Ghern. Who reacts firstly confused, trying to hide the book behind his back. His two assistants quickly move away and then slowly try to inch towards the bulkhead that exits the lab.
“We… discovered it ourselves! But enough of your questions, what are you, dog? You are not allowed to be here!”
There is an unempathetic look within the eyes of the wolfman, who clearly sees right through the rageful scientist.
“ I do not have time for your petty squabbles. Danger looms over the galaxy and I won’t be caught within the coming Storm. If you do not surrender the relic Tyranus left you, I will have to rip it from you forcefully.”
The Head Engineer feels the edge of the book behind him, and grabs it, holding it tightly between his arms and receding back further away from the wolfman.
“You Devil… The rest of the nation already knows of this knowledge, what is next, you shall decimate all of the Musavians? If you think the power of the souls are for you only then we shall spread this knowledge until you give up or reap all of the galaxy you monster!”
At this moment, various things happen. Firstly, Ankhbet hits a glass panel with her fist and calls for security within this particular laboratory. Then, a force overtakes the arms of the Head Engineer and forcefully rips away the books from his arms, ending at the arms of the psychic wolf-man, which looks at it for a few seconds, making the book disappear into nothingness somehow. However, instead of simply leaving, he says:
“ You strike a hard bargain, lizard. I will purchase the quietness of your people with knowledge which I shall partake with you. However, do know the rules of our deal:
This knowledge is to be kept at the hands of less than a hundred. and I will know if such a rule has been violated. Lastly, it is not to be used to the detriment of the galaxy. If you violate these rules, I will pursue the leaders of your nation and eliminate all of you, and you shall have in retribution the vile nature of the powers you sought.”
The Wolfman extends his right arm towards the Head Engineer, and from his palm glows an unspeakable light that overflows the room, and makes the camera go static to the point where the imagery is almost incomprehensible. After no more than 10 seconds, The Ambassador leaves into nothingness, like turning a corner in reality, and the Head Engineer is left on his knees, then falling down on the floor, only to be picked up by his associates, then, collected by security.
It seems that without the aid of the legendary psychic entity, they could not acquire such a power. For the public to not know of the existence of this power, surely their end of the deal was kept.

“This is a once-in-existence opportunity, Ghern. Think of the sheer size and technology of the Yutera Megacorporation Conglomerate. It is a plan that can last us a lifetime, maybe even many of stability. Surely your processors can reach the same conclusion.”
Three figures sit around a secret meeting room, one of them is recognizable, the Head Engineer, also known as Ghern. The other one seems to be the same one that referred to himself as the “boss” of the Head Engineer. The last one however, is unknown, but is dressed in fancy, ochre-coloured clothing.
“Yes… I have prepared our Megacorporation and talked to Mhertz about it. The Board of Directors is no problem, they have already been replaced by the Ministries. The transition shall be smooth, however, the Yutera is larger than the MISE itself… It won’t be an easy effort, but it will be very rewarding…
I didn’t see this going in this direction, however, I think it is for the best. SO what do you say Ghern, to a greater future? Most of the human fools in this galaxy are glad to lead the charge, but we all know that the winners of the wars are the kings.”
Ghern thinks hard for a few seconds, closing his eyes to elucidate the dangers and rewards clearer within his mind, before finally responding.
“Fine… You have the support of my ministry. Gentleman, if this works, then we shall be great, greater than we can imagine. I will keep in touch through safe lines. And worry not, you can join me in my form soon.”
He bows respectfully to the other two figures, which respond in kind to his gesture. Then, truth reveals itself, as the figures leave, one symbol becomes apparent on the one that referred to himself as the boss, sporting an insignia characteristic of the Ministry of Economy. Did the Ministries cooperate to achieve the GL&M-Yutera Megacorporation merger? And if so, to what end? And perhaps even more interestingly, was that Lihr in person?
After thoroughly looking through the data acquired, these were all the recordings of importance that Juuzac could find.
