The woman stood at the window, looking down at the world below as service drones began entering atmosphere to set up settlements for the civilians onboard. Behind her, someone cleared their throat. "If I may, Autarch, there are still several matters requiring your attention. Most notably is the establishment of a shipyard and other system defenses, especially given the likely reaction of the other powers to our arrival."
Her gaze flicked over to meet the man behind her in the glass. "That would be an extreme understatement. I still remember the Exile, and the vehemence and wrath that our former allies-" Her mouth twisted into a sneer as she spat the word, "cast us out with. How long until the Samothrace platforms can be brought online?"
The clerk hummed for a moment as he flicked through a datapad he'd been holding. "We brought twenty platforms with us, but power demands and orbital clearance mean we've only deployed about half that. Of those, perhaps half again are currently at full operational status."
"Less than I'd like, but it'll have to do. Alright then. Since you refuse to leave me be..."
