Namek The team sees if they can get their ARGUS systems to get a read on Roman. Through his cologne. The ARGUS system surprisingly is not a new tech. First being used by the UEG in the early 2600s to “sniff” out chemical signatures in insurrectionists explosive devices in space ports and other locations. It was originally used in drones. The team gets the ARGUS systems to get a read on the cologne, uploading its chemical signature into its database. Easily, they could drop down and take on Roman through the vents up ahead but that would jeopardize the mission of taking observing this facility then taking out Roman Why go in loud when you can go in silent.

The probe continues to snake along, looking at the rest of the room trying to figure out what it is.

Once scanning Roman's cologne, something was... Odd. Every living being should have some scent, but the probe couldnt pick up any around Roman. He seemed also quite younger than before.

There were 2 more scientists in the room, and even they didnt have any. In addition, their movements were odd, almost incomplete. Something wasnt right.

The room was quite spacious, with communication devices left and right, with a large window looking outside. Roman was standing still, looking through it.

Namek Strange. The team restarts their ARGUS systems and tries again. Taking note of the window. Joshua wonders if he can get in front of it somehow and take Roman from afar. he retracts himself from the vent, and activates his amours SPI mode, becoming camouflaged to not be seen. The other two Spartans stay behind to watch the room from above.

The team cared not for the silence, for in the shroud of this ominous lack of action is that they'd move more efficiently. Within the husks of refined exoskeletons whose machinery had engineering precise enough to make noise in a measure no greater than a normal person would, they removed the covering of the vents and quietly sneaked their way into the ventilation system.
Feeling the direction of the wind, they'd follow the winding tunnels down to whatever central pumped the air throught the facility, and thus their plan would initiate.

The tunnels lead deep within the mountain, and every once in a while they could look inside the facility, showing people walking left and right. Oddly enough, they same people kept repeating themselves, as if clones were walking around.

The vents didnt go up or down, and eventually an end was found, leading to a large ventilation area which felt abandoned no human in sight.

He simply walked past them, once again without saying anything, and entered the facility trying to raise as little suspecion as he could.
Quickly looking around for any signage that could indicate him passageway to the deeper levels, he takes the first elevator he can down into whatever floor seems important.

As he confidently walked inside, he noticed the exact same scientists he saw outside, sitting alongside the hallway. Something was clearly off.

There were more scientists and soldiers inside, each stuck in their own movements, repeating them endlessly.

There were a few large elevators, with 10 human sized boxes standing nearby. Perhaps those which were being brought inside. There were small windows on the boxes, in which you can look inside.

The elevators were closed, and required some sort of key.

Indeed, after a short time, the perfect spot was found to take a shot at Roman, whilst the other soldiers stayed behind. Roman kept standing there, repeating a specific movement over and over, as if they were stuck in place like a machine.

He took a brief look inside the boxes, before hastly phasing through the floor of the elevator in a phantasmagorical manner to completely ignore the lock, and going down the shaft looking for what could apparently be an important floor.
He did realize that other factions were around, likely looking for the man in question, but he cared very little for that.

Although a ventilation hub would be beneficial to the objective of the team, they still wanted to get to the main ventilation section so that they could carry out their objective: Setting it on fire.
Not only setting it on fire, but also preemptively disabling the filters and scrubbers to flood part of the facility with a fine combustible metallic powder, carrying out a pyroclastic blast with immense proportions.
Thus, they entered the ventilation area, and tried to find ways to proceed into a deeper part of the ventilation system of the facility. After all, they had to draw oxygen from somewhere, right?

Namek Joshua find his spot. Acting as a sniper and spotter. He lays his rifle on the ground and gets in position. Folding down the bi pod and levelling it out. His suit accounts for ballistics and he lays his sights on Roman. The cross hair becomes red as he aims at his chest. Long ago Joshua learned to never trust machines and technology. He does the calculations for bullet trajectory and ballistics in his head.

The rest of the team watches from the vent. Waiting for Joshua to take the shot.

Joshua breathes in and ex hails. He squeezes the trigger and the rifles normal boom is cut quiet by the silencer adapter on the end of the barrel.

As they began their search for the Ventilation System of the facility, they proceeded to go deeper into the ventilation area. Not too soon after, they reached their destination, only a few corridors further. All the vents in the facility came together here, attached to a massive machine pumping air everywhere. Altho, it was guarded by a few men, who were standing silently on their posts.

However, something was... Off. The machine wasn't making any noise, as if it wasn't active in the first place, yet it was guarded.

As he looked inside the boxes, the suspicions were confirmed, as the boxes were filled with young children, one carrying a small wooden toy. You noticed Roman approaching with the 2 scientists you saw before, and he as well looked inside the boxes, ignoring the Ambassador completely, as if they weren't there.

And in the most gentle appearance, and soft tone, he said; "Finally, they are here, my children." And then, disappeared with the scientists.

As the Ambassador tried to phase through the elevator doors, he was denied entry. The lock holding you back wasn't technical, it was a paranormal lock. A certain object was needed.

Joshua's calculations were precise, as the bullet flies through the air in the direction of Roman. The bullet pierced the glass, like a knife cutting butter, and the bullet continued towards the head of Roman. And just as the bullet hits his head, Roman... Glitches? Blinking in and out of existence, screaming in pain.

The bullet went through the glitching appearance, and hit the back of the wall. The scientists in the room remained silent, ignoring the incident, and Roman stood firmly once again, as if nothing took place.

The rest of the team in the vents saw it all, and knew something was wrong, is all of this even real?

Namek On TEAMCOM Joshua curses. The other members of the team watch as Roman glitches, his figure shifting back and fourth.

James and Emily retract the fibre optic probe, stashing it back in Joshua's equipment pouch on his side. They check over their weapons before Emily slams down hard on the hatch they just pulled the probe out of._

The hatch hits the floor and both Spartans drop into the room not making a sound despite wearing over a ton in armour. They raise their weapons at the science team and open fire. Muffled coughs fill the air and so does the smell of gunpowder.
