The forge fires illuminated the room. As forges churned and slammed down, molten material pouring and hardening, steam and smog was all the air had to offer. Men lined the hall and doorway, dawning the armor of the shock troopers, fresh and shinned the men stood in formation.
Two figures of authority looked towards each other, one wore the garbs of a general while the other wore the garbs of a grand admiral. A third less shinning figure stood with the pair, an engineer of the sorts.
"What is of the output in the last quarter?"
"To match our losses to the weird problem we are experiencing we have pin point it to the older FTL systems of the first gen warships. We thought we had fixed it but instead we were wrong. For production terms of warships we have finished construction of another Three hundred corvettes, also marking of the new 2nd gen designs of the corvette classes. The same can be said with the launching of more gen 3 and new gen 4 warships. They are each loaded with enough munition to last a few years, and I mean few at war, do not put logistics to the side and keep our warships supplied. Combat should prove no difficult in the logistics side for short fighting but long-term requires it. We have also requisitioned new fortress stations that are around midway construction with most and some nearing fitting out and launching. Current status of the frontline stations have shown minor stress from small skirmishes with an unknown force making use of old warships. Most is repaired but it is a pain to have such a problem. Ground equipment for the infantry and marines have proved easy, we can easily equip a trillion men if needed. The first titan to be repaired from the expedition to the old tomb planet we discovered is proving possible. I suggest sending more ships to secure the asset. The data stores within the planet have also proved useful. The orbital shipyard has been pushing and after we finish this batch of ships does need to be shutdown for maybe a month for repairs."
"I see..." Both of the dressed individuals spoke out in unison. They grasped the situation.
"We will focus on the finding out of these ship vanishings. Could be something like the 'delta' so don't show any hospitality to lost warships. Precaution is a must to avoid a tragedy. Also make sure that production of consumer goods and equipment for the private districts is still being met. We may be in war mode but we still have people to care for, especially the two new colonies that were settled last month. Gate malfunctions in the center system has lead to logistic traffic in the core systems. If we are overworking the equipment ready replacement ones and take them offline if needed." The dressed figure finished speaking as he looked to the chief engineer of the forge he could be identified as.
"Anyway commander, the new weapon systems and warships will be out by the end of the month and we will then halt production of major areas for up to a month in order to run the needed repairs and make sure machinery is working good in quality."
