Ah, Ilnoth, a cursed planet in the Asoli System. Dark and dangerous, as the gods wanted it to be.

Everybody gather around!

Ilnoth, the darkened planet, a terrible place, yet the place of many emergency shelters. If you think about it, it is the perfect place to take refuge if you know what to do- it is always night out, the landscapes are vast and mountainous, and the planet is roamed by deadly monsters.

Let me tell you a story....

A couple of troops investigating a recent death in the Giornoi caves. Three explorers had miraculously vanished while exploring a new part of the caves, which was previously locked off by a cave-in. As they went into the last recorded area of the research team, they heard faint whimpers, as if somebody had just expended all their energy crying, but hadn't solved their inner turmoil. They slowly went around corners, accompanied by an ever-louder sound of cracking and popping.

As they turned the corner, the tall humanoid creature was finishing its meal. It was an 8-foot tall predator. It's faint whimpering and nose blows used to detect incoming prey echoed off the cavern walls. The sickle-shaped claws and fingers looked like they were made for slashing prey into bits. The creature was skinny. Its black skin let forth to the shapes of bones and ribs. The now lifeless body of the last explorer to be eaten was illuminated by a small purple light, seemingly coming from the creature's head. And then... it turned around. Its head was relatively smooth, with a slight discrepancy being let forth by the jaw of the creature. It's small, purple eyes soon met the gaze of the rescue team. It dropped it's meal, leaving it to rot on the floor. The thing put its hands up to its face, still hunched over.

It all started off with a growl. The team backed away, trying to call for backup. The creature's growling grew higher in pitch and volume ending in not a howl, or a roar...

but a deafening scream...

It began to run at the troops, arms outstretched forward and its screams accompanied by the original growl, somehow. They opened fire towards the incoming threat. The shots that landed led to darkened smog from the creature's body, yet no damage.

It soon got its hands on one of the troops. With one movement, the creature was lifting the soldier by the neck, even with it's one, twig- wide arm. It used its right hand to easily pluck out the soldier's eyes. Then, with 3 well-placed stabs, it took out his beating heart, which was soon dropped onto the dusty floor for a new kill. One by one, they all succumbed to the same fate.

When reinforcements came, all that was left was a pile of broken bones, bloodied eyes, and a dusty, still-beating heart...

I am Lord Alyx Mercya the 7th of The Unralith Empire. I present to you the latest Frontier of our empire and a challenge. I invite you, friend, or foe to survive on the cursed planet of Ilnoth. Bring your 2 best men and survive in the harsh landscapes. Prepare for alliances with other groups... but so betrayal, as only one can prevail. May the Void be in your favor, whomever you might be.

The dark void ripples and rips, corruption is all that can spew as the portal rips open within the void of space over the planet. A single warship lied within the ripple in existence, tentacle and abominations upon the warship, it almost looked organic with the ship hull. But the armored hull still existed. It was like the ram of the warship was a crooked mouth with jaggering teeth, horn like and bone structure grew from the warship. And two large eyes on the side. They blinked ounce, and the ship was in normal space. But the abominations seemed to burn off, leaving the battleship to hover over the planet like nothing happened. The creaking of the underside as ports open and a pod is fired off.

The pod pierced the dark atmosphere. It shook as the high up whirlwinds threw it around the mesosphere. Lightning struck between the clouds.

Two man enter the conflict are through the means of being launched by a destroyer-sized ship from the atmosphere in simple pods, such ship FTL'ed away from the location moments later.
Both the men are exactly similar, they appear to have long white hair that draps over the back of a large trenchcoat from underneath the hat which obscures their face, only revealing a small portion of a beard from underneath the shadow of the hat.

The pod went through the darkened atmosphere and came to a stop in a large valley.

The dark rocks stood unmoving across the mountains surrounding the men. Some grass stood in the dark wind as it sucked up whatever water it could. A small, airborne creature stood on a small bush, consuming its most recent meal.

        Super_Mapper
The two men seem to ignore the wildlife as of now, simply keeping an eye out for them.
They tip the drop-pod on its side and start sliding it around, despite its size, they seem to not have much problem carrying it around, perhaps it is made out of some kind of super light material.
Nevertheless, they look for a nearby cave to set up a base in, or some other defensible place.

A cavern stood proud on the other side of the valley, more than 200 meters away. It was to bee a long and hard journey, as a darkened cloud loomed over the chains of rocky mountains devoid of life and snow.

            Super_Mapper
The men didn't waver for they knew that their journey was to be full of trials and tribulations. They set fourth at a steady pace through the mountains, exerting supreme elbow grease to move the drop pod around, as it clearly had some kind of meaning to them.

The wildlife seemed interested in them, as it flew around them in circles, yet keeping its distance. Its bird-like calls echoed off the valley's walls as it came swooping in for a strike at on of the men.

                Super_Mapper
Although busy ferrying around the drop pod, one of the men stood back and prepared for the swoop of the creature. He did not, however get any weapons, simply, he acquired a fighting stance and awaited for the bird to get close enough.

                  Fort_Master_Gustav

And it came swooping in. The razor-sharp tooth-filled mouth occupying the man's entire vision in that crucial moment, as if time almost froze or moved slower than the growth of a tree.

And then, the seal broke. The creature's teeth sank deep into the man's head, as the claws on its wings were showered in the blood unlucky enough to be in his jugular at that time. The claws on the legs quickly sank in through the skin and between the hard ribs, giving the creature a firm grip on the man. The thing's wings instantly turned from a collage of purple, black, and pink to a grizzly, red nightmare, as the thing's fuzzy down happily soaked up the blood.

                    Super_Mapper
As the creature tried to pennetrate the head of the man, it'd find that it had simply no gain on it, in fact, it was as hard as metal, far too hard for it to get through. The claws found much of the same, as only a few milimeters underneath the clothing they came to a dead halt.
The man simply grasped the neck of the being and held tight with his hands, his grip strength was immense, and easily could shatter bone and bend steel. If that was not enough, he'd pull the neck apart until it was undone.

                      Fort_Master_Gustav

The bloodied parts of the creature fell to the ground with a loud splat. The blood-soaked into the ground as the small patches of blue grass slovenly drank it up.

The cloud was now much closer. The thunder grew deafening and the lightning was now brighter than a sun. Thy had to move.

                        Super_Mapper
The man cleaned its hat from the blood of the creature and put it back upon his head, as he kicked its lifeless body out of the way of the capsule, and then continued moving it along towards their soon-to-be hideout.

The cave was relatively sheltered, its walls covered in a black- purplish ore.

(Idk I couldn't think of anything else)
