what do I use to make a faction flag?
idk, whatever you can draw with, not all factions even need a flag. I for sure don't have any flags.
GIMP, Paint.net, or Graphics gale. GIMP has a smidge of a learning curve.

LiamTheShipmaster use Krita, it's the best free drawing software imo and comes with Q'MIC already included, which has amazing filters
