As a side-note, Redford ships ARE smaller then Jinaris ships, both in Cosmoteer and inlore. However, inlore Redford ships are Cheaper (both in credit-cost and mineral cost), meaning Redford Could out-produce Jinaris WITHOUT the moons, though it's unlikely without the moons just due to the fact of the sheer amount of stuff they can pump out.
Also, due to different Navy doctrines, the size of the ships is a key issue in how figuring out some battles. If you were to pit 5 Falcons versus a Jinaris Dread, the Falcons would win. Just due to the fact that 5 Falcons, while much, much smaller then a Jinaris dread, each Falcon is equipped with what is basically a pocket DSL. So what the situation at hand is that the dread would just get pounded by 5 huge lasers. I'm not saying the Falcons would get away scott-free, as that would be idiotic of me to say, but at least a couple would still function without major issues.
Obviously this is just a 5v1 scenario, when in reality it'd be dozens of warships duking it out. Now, if I was going to say anything in a no-grudge match, completely fair terms (like no suprise attack, full frontal assault kinda deal), then Jinaris would have a higher chance of winning in warship-to-warship combat. However, I know for a fact Jinaris has some carriers, so you have to take into account fighter/bomber/interceptor-to-warship combat. In this regard, Redford would have a higher chance of REPELLING the attack. not ATTACKING, but REPELLING. Redford has large amount of anti-craft weaponry on it's warships, so attacking in bombers is pretty incompetent unless you can overwhelm the guns with the amount of bombers that are being fielded, and thats not-even taking into account the anti-muntion systems that can shoot down bombs, torpedoes, and missiles. However, Redford's carrier forces are only now getting a good foot-hold, meaning a poultry number of Redford carrier-based fighters and bombers are being fielded.
