No Crew Ship? Drones?

Is there a way of removing the crew so that the ship functions as normal but with more space for parts. I want to make tiny drones but it isn't possible since crew requirements are always too high.
Any ideas?

It's possible. I'm no expert in that kind of part-making but if you download ABH mod it has drones.

are the drones in ABH built by the player? how do they function? it says they are an exploit but other than that there is no information.

SirGrim They work as a part that is a cockpit, reactor and thruster that requires no crew

I mean how can it be replicated by the player? Either no crew at all OR (and preferably) an automatic power system that requires no crew to transport energy but can be disabled. Like in the real world with cables and such. If not as a mod it would be an amazing update.

I think it'd have to be a work around or exploit rather than a true addition. Maybe making workers that are invisible, can walk anywhere through walls or whatever, and make it so that a single room of beds (likely a modded one separate from the standard) contains 20 people or more. Then it would LOOK like only a few or no people are running the ship yet it remains powered and manned. This sound good to any of you?
