the being gets shot, it stumbles back enough for you to get a visual. It's a creature of this night black obsidian, it looks almost metallic. The being has a monolith like head structure with a purple glowing ring inside its hole. It's eye perhaps? What you do notice is its two arms, or lack of. It's just blades on joints. Blades strong enough to do significant damage. The being howls at the drone before attempting to make another, swift attack

the signal seems to have no origin, unless the origin was the cube. Speaking of which. The thing seems to be levitating, it hums and vibrates. Then a corner of it rotates. And just like that. Blank, everything goes blank. Scans on the ships, the planet, the cube, all visuals. Gone, its as if somebody had just flipped a switch and just erased everything within the time frome of you interacting with the planet, to the cube discovering you. However, something new emerges. A signal within your vessel

the Abomination gets blown to chunks, making it look more indescribable, its lifeless mass floats away as it has left I prints, Scars on the drop ship. The infection it came from starts to writhe and bubble under its skin. Like something is moving under it

The vessel remained in position, as motionless as before, internal scans were run to confirm wether the origin of the signal was in fact the cube which had just entered the ship, keeping the area the signal came from under observation to see what would happen next.

As the probe went closer to the blind spot...
...it remained just that, a blind spot, no data returned from scans in the area, as if they were staring into an infinitely deep nothingness. What they could determine now was that this spot was somewhere between several hundred and a few thousand metres in length, though the estimated value was highly variable as it was even hard to determine how far away the thing actually was.

the obsidian attacker sponges the Bullets, the Bullets chipping at it's strange shell, creating purple sparkle that illuminate this being further for brief moments in time, some of them the drone's camera doesn't pick up. The being continues to approach the drone, sharpening its blades against eachother

the cube is in the main reactor of the ship. And yes, the signals are surely coming from the cube. Although it doesn't seem to have any signs of technology on it, it has no issue transmitting and talking through tech throughout the vessel. It sends another signal.

it begins to cripple the cyber security of the vessel, taking full control over it. The first thing it does is bypass data on the vessel. Its not doing anything malicious yet, just collecting

a large tentacle like mass of purple flesh and shards of bone rips and explodes from its mass. It looks big enough to entrap the drop ship. It recoils like a snake, preparing an attack

...the ship in the meanwhile, remained in position, observing both the box and the other ~~three~~ two groups. It did not seem particularly bothered by the box so far, nor did it seem to have any intentions of stopping to do what it was doing aby time soon.

After a while the probe had now reached a point at which the entire frontal sensor array was occupied by the blind spot, no data returned from there, nor did the light of the stars beyond pierce the darkness.

Node_Man The drop-ship pulls back, firing 40mm shredder rounds into the tentacle. In the prowler. The captain and bridge crew watch this event happen on one of the dropships cameras. The captain tells the craft to pull back and not risk their lives. The captain also tells the crew that codeword LUX is in order. This means that one of the crafts Tactical-Shiva Nukes will be armed to possibly combat this hostile biomass

Node_Man The drone quickly observes the room with it's secondary cameras in an attempt to find any possible exits out of the situation.

As the cube attempted to get into the datastorages on the ship, it soon found out there wasn´t much data there to look at, it contained a set of very crude looking mission objectives which said something along the lines of 'Investigate the anomaly' and that was all there was to be found, there wasn´t even any nav-data or logs, even the data which was being collected right now seemed to go... nowhere.
The more ominous thing was that the ship did not seem to defend itself against the cube, all cybersecurities seemed to have been shut off the moment the cube tried to touch them, yet the sense behind all this remained as alien as before, it now had full access to the ship but no actual control, unless it intended to run each system manually, as all the controls seemed be running into emptyness.
...and yet another thing, something seemed to be in this ship, not directly, more like a 'presence' something that couldn´t be quite grasped, yet the ship had no crew whatsoever.
In the meanwhile the signal was analysed and the ship kept observing,

the cube had come what it was looking for. It knows from the small amount of data that you had no intentions of stopping it. Though it would not let you even if you knew how to end its loop

the nearest exit would be where the drone came from. But speed is of the essence as the anomalous being in the room throws the drone with a resounding kick

the Bullets rip holes into the tendril. Though that does not stop it from taking a jab at the craft. It starts making impression as it spears itself into the Hull with predatory speed

Node_Man the tendril hits the dropships troop bay. Lucky enough, the pilots are safe due to it being sealed off from the cockpit amd wearing vac suits. The drop ship pulls into a dive, escaping from the tendril and this biohazard threat

Minutes later, the drop ship makes its way back to the prowler. Docking in its hangar bay.

the cube, black as tar, begins to think. It's curious as to why the vessel it's in is hidden the way it is. It also wanders if there's any living things inside at all. The cube now levitates a foot above the ground, small purple lightning arcing from it to the ground. It starts to rapidly shift and turn, not just the corners, but every section of the cube was moving, unlocking and locking itself into a new shape. A new shape. The cube unfolds like origami and takes form. It has arms and a head, the rest of its shape is unrecognisable from anything seen on living things, if it is a living thing that it. Its Lower half is like a spine, a snake like spine connected to some form of ribcage, all of the shapes on this thing resembling hard edges, it looks like architecture, though hardly anything is kept together by conventional means. It's head is pillar like and almost triangular with a single hole in the middle of it, the hole looks like space with little white stars, it has a crackling purple outline to it, it looks almost threatening. The now formed architecture roams the space around it.

the attacker gets shot in the head, a chunk of its black obsidian chips as the attacker cradles its wounds. It howls at the drone before hand, giving the drone time to escape

the growth reverts back into its mass. The veins grow and stretch across the Hull of the infected ship. It seems to be slowly eating the vessel

Node_Man The dropship is docked. 10 minutes later the prowler pulls back out of the effective range of the Shiva-Nukes they ready to launch at the infected craft

The drone scans the room for anything that would be useful or would explain the presence of the unknown creauture. Afterwards it attempts to escape to the previous room.

The construct found itself in a large white room, it was bipyramidic in shape and about four dozen metres across with both the lower and the upper end of the bipyramid cut off by the ceiling and ground respectively, leading to a height of around eight metres, there were no consoles, no displays, just a few black lines where the edges met, a door in each corner, which looked more like another piece of plain flat white wall.
The only thing of note in the room was a large black bipyramid with purple glowing edges, it stood in a free space in the center of the room, or rather, was floating freely without any apparent reason, it was around twenty metres in height, and made no sound nor emanated any signals or energy, it representad what was likely the ships main reactor, or the equivalent of it.

the architecture felt almost at home, but this place felt hollow to it. It felt inferior. It felt tainted compared to what it knows. It fixates itself on the bipyramid for a moment. Wondering if it should destroy the strange object. Nonetheless, it wanders the vessel some more, maybe trying on of the doors.

there is nothing that could explain the violence in the room. The only thing the scanners pick up is a human life signature, a pumping heart within that purple mass the attacker seemed to be guarding for dear life; the attacker already looked like a fallen statue of sorts, even if it still has fight in it. Enough fight to maim a machine if you had stayed

the mass on the ship pays no attention, it only gets enraged by proximity by the looks of it. But, is a nuclear weapon worth this purple biomass? What's the worst that could happen if it was to be left unkempt, after all, there's no other sign of this thing anywhere else. Not on the planet not in the galaxy. Though it could be a new strain of something already existing and explainable, or something completely different and alien. Something violent and grasping, fighting for survival, fighting to sustain hunger or fulfill the evil fantasy that some living creatures have. The fantasy of murder. Does this mass murder for sport or out of anger? Or is it simply hungry.

The drone makes it's way outside of the ship and quickly stops before transmitting data to it's mother-ship. The mother-ship then flew closer towards the disabled vessel while planning on how to take out the monster inside. Afterwards the ship atempts scanning the destroyed starship to see if anything except the beast is inside.

Wandering the corridors of the ship the construct didn´t find much of note, long empty white corridors with black lines along the edges, containing glowing purple lines like the bipyramid, occasionally black pyramids sticking out of the walls, these without the purple glowing edges, empty rooms with apparently no purpose, no interfaces, no controls, not even seats or beds, It clearly wasn´t made to house crew.
The ship was relatively large, exploring it would take time and a direction, the feeling of being watched remained, albeit subtle.

the construct comes to terms with this. Seeing not a single living thing in sight, goes back into the room it came from, the one with the bipyramid inside of it. Once in, the construct begins to place a hand on it. In the hopes of finding a signal, an energy signal, a life signal, neither, both or just anything. Anything to validate its suspicions for sentience on this vessel.

apart from the life signals of the infected biomass, there is nothing else on the ship. You reckon questioning the captain of this abandoned vessel, the soul survivor, may reveal some hidden answers as to what's going on, or maybe even explain how he and his ship turned up like this.

the unsightly mass rips itself away from the ship, it is much larger than you thought. It even has an eye. You can see each individual "vein" on this amalgamated mass, they're like tall grass on a field, only much more gut turning; some of it looks like mold, some of it looks long enough to grab a person and encase them like a fleshy cocoon. This mass seems to have flung itself into the direction of some asteroids traveling in the planet's orbit. Scanners would reveal the asteroids would exit the planet's influence in 12 hours from now
