Sorry about having to reschedule the Augustocalypse building tournament to be this one. Thank you everyone who participated in the poll choosing the next time.
This event is official, meaning Walt will give the winner the champion role if they win: 
Event Information Read Carefully or else
Within this event you will be building 400k to 600k ships (due to randomized budget), and then using them to try and kill the opponent. You and your opponent will be assigned randomly the only one weapon you can use. Both players will also be assigned a limitation corresponding to the weapon they get, the pool being: no shields, no storages, no walkways, no armor, no bunks, only small reactors, no engine rooms, and no prisms. As well it will be within domination so that there's much less flexibility of the rules, and making the next set of procedures possible.
- As soon as the match starts you begin building your ship with the assigned weapon
- At the end of 5 minutes, you have 30 seconds to leave spawn area or you have lost. You can continue building until the seven minute mark. These two minutes are intended for final arrangements such as doors and fire extinguishers
- At the end of 7 minutes, players enter sudden death mode. At this point you can start firing upon the enemy ship. Doing so beforehand will result in disqualification
- if you don't get into the middle circle within 30 seconds, you lose. If you leave the circle for more than 10 seconds during sudden death you lose
- At the end of 10 minutes the winner is either the one who has the point or destroyed
the other ship.
Please note that explosive charges are prohibited in every case of use, and that flak, point defense, and tractor beams can all only be used if it's the chosen weapon.

What is the Cosmoteer PvP tournament?
The Cosmoteer PvP tournament is (as the name suggests) a multiplayer pvp tournament for the Cosmoteer community. The tournament is completely multiplayer, which means that instead of using AI to control ships - you will have to build and pilot the ship yourself.
