SOLVED : Nothing saves after game restart

Whenever I want to change my settings or turn on mods, I then restart the game to have the mods loaded. After the game starts, nothing is saved and the game acts af if I turned it on the first time. I reinstalled it so I got all the welcome messages on the first launch which re-appear when I restart the game and as I said, no settings are saved and all mods (even the built in ones) are disabled automatically.

I would be grateful for any solution to this.

IEatALotOfSoap When you restart do you hit the ingame exit button, or kill the task manually using Alt F4 or task manager? The game doesn't save settings until it's closed naturally as a safeguard for a chance in settings crashing your game, then crashing again every time you launch it from then on

Make sure you are using the same account the game was installed with. Disable antivirus or any kind of write protection for the game save folders: users\username\documents\my games\cosmoteer\

Sounds like something is blocking Cosmoteer from saving files. Check for any anti-virus/ransomware/malware programs that could be blocking Cosmoteer.

Alright, I completely turned off my anti-virus and tried launching the game, apparently allowing it specifically wasn't enough.
Everything works now, thanks for the help.
