The question of why I'm interested is two-fold; GL&M is interested in this data to better understand and therefore better combat the Bloodcult, while I as an individual are interested to sate my own natural curiosity. I want to understand things, I can't help it."
Everything Narcrus said was entirely true, although it couldn't necessarily be described as the whole truth.

"ah piss" venti would mutter to himself he put his behind his head as he walked in, still bleeding out of his shoulder he strolled up to the front desk and said to the person there "uhh, 'hello chap" venti would prepare for a wave of fire to come to his position which seemed imminent to him and he was surprised it didn't arrive sooner

HMS-Hood The security personnel shouted at him to get on his knees. They cuff him and eventually he is back in his cell for a very long time. He awakes back in a cell. This one much more heavily defended then the rest.

Gaunt She nods. noting everything said to ask about later. Before continuing she pauses and thinks for a moment before telling the Narcus that the cult attacked without motive, as well as it being months ago. She doesn't say where and who was involved, ship numbers, deaths ect.

"Data on the attacks of the Bloodcult could be analyzed to find patterns, perhaps even to the point of predicting their next move before they make it. I notice that you only answered half my question. I really don't see why you're being difficult about this, it'd only be better for both of us if we're open." Narcrus looks genuinely upset. "Look, you want the Bloodcult gone and so do I. We share a common goal. So I ask you again: Where was the UEG's most recent altercation with the Bloodcult?"

Gaunt What will happen if I give you the answer. What will you do, and why do you need to know of its location?

"If you gave me the location, I would follow up by asking to go there and analyse the battle site and its surroundings, in order to assign a motive for the Bloodcult's attacks and possibly pre-empt the next one. Why all the secrecy? In what way could I possibly use this information against you?"

ONI

Gaunt Well to cut things to the point we don’t want outsiders snooping around territory. It’s all precautions._

ONI "If that's it, why were you being so secretive even before I asked to enter your territory? Besides, isn't the benefit of being able to more efficiently combat the external threat of the Bloodcult far outweighing whatever miniscule risk is posed by the possibility of petty infighting? I mean, GL&M and I are trying to do you a favour by helping you against this threat, would you rather we let the Bloodcult wipe us out while we're distracted by petty squabbles? It is my firm belief that unity is only ever a positive, in any situation where it is a possibility."

Gaunt Allowing corporations to become involved with this won't end well. We know all they really care about is profit. Why exactly does GL&M want to help us exactly. Can you answer that?

Gaunt

"Well, there's nearly nothing worse for the economy than the perpetual fear of knowing you could be attacked at any moment. Fear makes people hoard instead of buying, certainly instead of investing. The longer the Bloodcult continue to cultivate fear in the population, the more the markets suffer."

ONI

Gaunt Could you say again why they want to help us precisely.

ONI Narcrus sighs. "The long and short of it is that the Bloodcult are bad for business, so we want them gone."

ONI

Gaunt ”Well...” the agent pauses. I can give you some information about the attacks. I will have to speak to the right people however.

The data to be presented would be heavily censored, removing the UEG ships from the picture do to some ships being still classified and not released to the public yet.

ONI "That'd be great! So, I'll ju —" _Halfway through the word, Narcrus's eyes roll back and they fall sideways off their chair. It's unclear whether they're unconscious or dead.
