kola2134 The patrol ships captain sends another hail saying what is your purpose here with a warfleet. The bridge crew of the patrol ship realize the size of the fleet in front of them but try and remain calm

(The hole is just a normal rift,the being itself is the spiky thing)
The round hit the crystalline form,shattering it into several pieces upon impact. The pieces lay unmoving for some time,before changing it's colour entirely blue. The shards moved themselves into position to form what vaguely looks like the previous being. The smaller cluster that broke off stopped in it's tracks,and flashed red for a brief moment before sending a transmission towards the cruiser. The transmission started as a high-pitch noise,gradually calming to a soft hum,then silence.

Greetings. I am a messenger of the Crymnant Genesis. Now if you don't mind,please lower your weapons. Though we are able to reform,doing so takes a moderately large amount of our energy. It would be preferable for us not to consume any more,as traveling here in the first place has taken most of our energy and may take more to travel back. Once you do,we can start talking

Altraxia What was that? the crew of the cruiser say as the voice plays through the bridge speakers. The captain ponders then responds back. "Who are you...."

The probe passed the distance between the station and the gateway without any issues or notable events, then, it was suddenly gone.
It was uncertain what exactly happened, but the records showed that the probe had received no damages when heading towards the rift, however, a brief moment before it entered the communications grew considerably worse, around the time it made contact with the red mist. Then, once it passed the border, communications were gone, the probe was lost, although possibly not destroyed.

Drakador_Chaos At the station the probes signal is lost. A report of what happened is sent to the higher ups who advise to not send anything else into or close to it most importantly advocating for manned ships to not enter.

After the report is filed and the warnings sent out, the station sends out another probe. This time to study the rift from afar.

As the probe approached the rift... nothing happened.
This time, there were no communication issues, likely because the probe was far enough away from the mist, however, the scans of the rift turned out to be pointless, just like the communications before, the red mist seemed to be interfering with most scans that weren´t visual, thus the other side of the rift remained a mystery... for now.

I along with most of my kind had just returned here from a thousand-year long journey through the intergalactic void,and as such we have not any knowledge of the current state of G-S16,particularly the galactic core area. Altraxia The captain responds. Hello Gemma. I cannot tell you certain things because they are classified. But I can say strange events are beginning. Even on our home turf. The captain thinks of the red rift he was informed of mere hours ago._
There is an embassy we are apart of, like the Old United Nations of earth which evolved into what we are today.

interesting. Could you show us some of these strange events? Are they dangerous? Are they- the smaller chunk,"Gemma" cuts off the being and told it to stay shut.
pardon,my transport was a little too eager. Anyway,could you show us an example of such events? And if they are dangerous,we may provide assistance in dealing with them,but in return you must share some information about then. We are curious to learn of these events so as to be prepared in case it appears near our nest. That said,we still would like to know of the strange things in the galactic core,but I trust my other fellow messengers will have gathered some information about them.

As the surviving beasts returned to where they came from,the large magnaspawn halted the spikes' movement and melded them once again with itself.

anyways,now that I've helped you,do you mind telling us a bit more about what's been going on the past century? What are the strange golden thing above the core of the galaxy? And what is this fog in the core? Also,I'd like to know of this "Embassy" you talked about. What does it do? Where is it located? Tell us more about yourselves,why did the beasts attack you,what even is this rift.
The being's questions were numerous,but it understood that they were just defeated by an unkown force,and gave them time to recover for a bit.

Drakador_Chaos The navy decides to do increased patrols around the outskirts of the rift. Not getting too close but close enough to keep civilian craft from staying away.

The Rift in the meanwhile stood idly in the distance both when the patrols increased and when the two newcomers arrived.
For how much ruckus it caused when arrived, it had been astoundingly docile so far.
The tear in space-time was still emanating the same ominous red mist, with the tendril stretching off into infinity behind it, the presence of the rift seemed to cause an instinctual terror in anything looking at it, though aside from that there was nothing else particularly noteworthy.

ONI As the cruiser moved,the larger shard followed. The shard now known as "Gemma" melded with it's transport. As it does,it's mind becomes one with the being once again and forgetting the name. As they moved closer and closer to the rift,the being could feel something. It's beastly instincts are kicking,like a deer surrounded by forest fire.. What it sensed was unlike anything the Crymnant Genesis has ever seen,at least not with it's knowledge.

It had been a week since the last whisper and the opening of the tear
Nothing had happened os far, the increased patrols roamed space and the the two observers stood in their position without doing much, there was an... eerie silence, however, soon that would come to an end.
Suddenly something that sounded like an angered screeching came over the comms, distinctly different from the whispers before, albeit still accompanied by the same trembling...
...then, before the screeching had even stopped a large group of ships bursted out of the portal, they moved almost liek a single being and were faster than likely all other ships they had encountered so far, more importantly, as soon as they left the portal they started attacking anything in the vicinity in a predatory raid like fashion, Plasma, high-energy bolts and lasers rained down on anything unlucky enough to be close to the rift and yet something felt... off.

After checking the scans it became soon apparent what it was which felt so off, these 'ships'... seemed to be actually around sixty spaceborne beasts, each between the size of a fighter and a corvette!

Drakador_Chaos As the friendly fleets senors light up with these new contacts, they engage. Some ships closest to the area didnt stand a chance against the onslaught. The fusion reactors mushrooming and shields flare up and flicker. The remaining ships send out the call for reinforcements.

As the cyborg ships stream out of the rift, vaccum is filled with the plumes of archer missiles. MAC cannon rounds streak towards the oncoming targets, hitting their marks. Surely these ships could survive a 9.1 tungstun slug fired at 12,000 km per second.

"I want answers Colonal."Sir at this time we have none, the only thing we do know is that it is extraterrestrial in orgin." "Have we engaged?" "Yes, sir we have but have lost ships, good men and women too near the "rift"

The HIGHCOM council sits in an office room. Seated around a table, made from wood from each of the UEG colonies to signify unity between them. An older man with the rank of Fleet Admiral puts his head between his hands. Realizing he should not be seen like this, he puts on his brave face, learning that his daughters ship was one of the first destroyed in the invasion as casualties came in from new data being uploaded to the feeds on the walls. Already 7,000 good sailors had perished. 26 ships gone, from the ships streaming through. The Fleet admiral weighed his options, start evacuating the outer colonies or let them be razed. The reason hes making these decisions is because the Prime Minister is out of system with one of the two Super Carriers in the fleet.

He gives the order, and puts all naval craft in system along with recalling those who can for the defense of UEG space. This could end up being the biggest space battle in history next to the defense for earth 16 years earlier.

Back at the rift reinforcements arrive, attempting to hammer back the ships they launch several HAVOK-Class Nuclear Missiles into the rift itself. Maybe this could stop the onslaught?

Explosions raged and projectiles and shrapnell was flying across the battlefield as the battle ensued...
The beasts from the portal seemed to have taken the UEG by surprise and had paid dearly for that in the initial engagement.
More worryingly, the larger MAC cannons seemed to have considerable issues hitting their targets as the beasts had the speed and manouverbility of a natural spaceborne predator, the Archer missiles seemed to be considerably more effective in actually hitting their marks, but in some cases left not much more than scorchmarks on the bodies of the beasts when they hit the outer shell.
All in all, only eleven of the beasts had been taken down in the initial engagement, haven taken a considerable beating beforehand, ominously, rather than detonating into chunks of flesh and bone, they turned into a red mist upon their death which was promptly sucked back into the rift, accompanied by a horrifying telepathic screeching...
Oddly enough, they seemed to have ignored the two onlookers so far, having headed in a wide arc to the main fleet in the area, as they started reaching it they proceeded to circle ships to avoid the heavy MAC cannons and taking shots whenever they saw a damaged ship, though seemingly ignoring anything too small to pose an actual threat, like escape pods, either these beasts were rather intelligent on their own or something was controlling them behind the scenes.
Another odd, though more worrying thing was that the beasts seemed to make no effort to stop the HAVOK-class nuclear missiles, as they dove into the rift and most likely detonated on the other side...
...nothing seemed to happen. To deal with the Rift they would likely have to take out the beasts on this side first.

@Altraxia The cruiser with its friend move to engage the invaders, the cruiser empties its missile tubes into the enemy craft. Firing its dual mac system at the nearest sizable ship.

Gemma recieves a transmission from the Captain. "What will you do?"

The magnaspawn watched the battle from afar,seeing many lives lost,lives with ambitions,emotions,affections. They are dying,and the magnaspawn doesn't care one bit. All it cares is about it's family,and not others' families.

I have promised to help you,so I will. These monsters may prove a threat to the Crymnant Genesis and must be eliminated. We will work with you until the conflict is resolved,but I can't afford to lose many magnaspawns in battle.
The mass paused for a moment,examining the UEG ships and the strange beasts before continuing
shoot as much of your energy weapons to me as you can,and then blast me with your MAC. I am not trying to kill myself,I am making sure my energy is enough for the battle.

As it prepares for battle,a small chunk broke off and heads back to the rift it came from,appearing near the edges of Lux Iustorum. It saw no magnaspawns around it,an abnormal occasion. Something must have happened. It reentered the rift into purgatory,desperate to find a magnaspawn,any magnaspawn to help. It knows that one battle-ready shard is not enough,much less an unprepared one to deal with the beasts after seeing what they did to the UEG ships

Altraxia it was like heaven and hell battling it out

the cruiser charges into battle. The crystal holding on to its rear engine armour plating. Behind the cruiser some time later, three battle cruisers emerge from slipsace, whips of slipstream trail behind them as the portals close. The captain of the cruiser sighs a relief when seeing them arrive on course properly. Only almost two decades ago, if they tried something similar they could end up well off course_

The cruiser fires it’s dual main MAC into the swarm and launches missiles who streak through the inky black

(ONI Drakador_Chaos ) "Did they ignore my request?" The being said to itself. "Eh,others will come anyways"

With that,it changed it's color from light blue to bright orange,preparing for battle. Moving closer to the rift,it fired it's purified light beams to several targets at a time. The beasts' outer layers were hard,but the beams melted them quite easily. Despite this,melting an entire beast would take some time and drain considerable power from it. It figured the cruisers and battlecruisers could handle a few half-melted beasts,ignoring the ones it has attacked and moved on to other targets

Meanwhile,the smaller shard was somewhere in I.Q4 and had found one of a larger one of it's kind,calling for it's help against the strange forces coming from the rift. It was on a roving mission to find a group that had stolen a piece off of it's body. Still,the larger being gave a moderate chunk to the smaller one for the battle. After several hours,it had gathered enough to form a Glass Dragon,one of the most powerful Crymnant forms,and headed back to UEG space

Throughout the battlefield, plumes of missile trails fill vacuum. vaporized titanium floats around from the destroyed and wounded ships. As the fleet dwindles, the frigates, destroyers and corvettes in the area made up most of the fleet besides three cruisers. Out of the ships on the area, one of cruiser fires off its fusion rockets. the fast missiles track on of the enemy ships detonating on impact. The cruisers Helix point defense batteries worked into over time, switching back between targets and spraying its deadly rounds at the craft.

_More reinforcements come to aid. This time instead of smaller craft three massive battlecruisers come into view. Coming in at over 1200 meters. These behemoths could be a key token to waver the battle. First they launch missiles, thousand of missiles stream out of the three craft.

_On the outer colonies, these consist of Harvest, Green Isle, Draco IV, and Arcadia. Planetary defenses are put on high alert despite being millions of kilometers from the rift itself. On the ground of these planets Wolverine Defensive Air Batteries are armed.
