The Narvik readies one of its four archer missile pods. Its point defence guns turn to face the corvette in case it fires. The Narvik also communicates via an encrypted channel with the nearby light frigate Fairy Queen FFG-903 for additional boarding support if boarding becomes an option.

"Sir, we cant just tell them that we were spying on their colony"
Jameson:
"No, we cant. Prepare for a fight.."
The crew readies for combat as weapon systems come alive and fighters prepare to launch.

Brank The Corvette awaits a response from the raider.

A Response is not sent. Suddenly, the corvette's engines flare brightly as it attempts to hide behind the asteroids it is nearby, weapons training their aim upon the UNSC Ship.

Brank The corvette fires off a warning shot at the enemy corvette. The missile streaks across its bow as the Narvik rotates to face the Raider.

"MAC is hot Ma'am. Capacity is at one hundred percent: says the weapons officer to the Narviks captain.

"They Fired a warning shot! Prepare to engage on my mark! Three, Two, One, Mark!"
The Laser cannons and Turbolasers of the ship open up, aiming for the frontal MAC of the ship, the Dual ION cannons aiming for the bridge tower, and Concussion missiles streaking from their launch pods, attempting to go for the Leftmost Engine pod of the ship. Meanwhile the ship continues moving towards an asteroid to hide behind, the engines on full blast. 2 Squadrons of Old Liberator-Class Starfighters rush out of the Hangar bay of the ship, each squadron accompanied by a B-wing heavy bomber. They go on approach for the UNSC Corvette.

Brank The Narviks point defences fire at the fighters and enemy projectiles with the standard high explosive sabot ammunition they use. The Narvik launches one of its MAC rounds at the Raider with its M60 Archer missiles and RIM-442 Anubis EMP missiles in tow. The Narvik's engines flare as it moves to evade the turbolaser fire.

Shield status at one hundred percent. Enemy fighters closing in. 24,000km out chirped the ship's AI. The Narvik receives a transmission on SECNET. (Secure Network)

The Fairy Queen is underway...

The MAC Round Narrowly misses, passing right over the top of the raider, the sheer closeness of the shot shearing off a single armour plating. Meanwhile the fighters attempt to dodge as much fire as they can, point defense overwhelming and heavily damaging two, while the rest are only minorly damaged or unscathed. the Liberators fire their laser cannons at the Corvette, while the B-wing unloads it's multiple ION cannons and a couple ION Torpedoes into the shields of the corvette.

Brank As the fighters draw closer, the point defences continue to fire at them and the ion payload they launched. One of the ion torpedoes hits bringing the shields of the corvette down to seventy-five percent. The topside Titanium A2armour plating is slightly damaged. The secondary layer of Deraxium B2 and the third level of the ship Titanium C3 are left untouched. From a visual standpoint, the ship is encased in a yellow glow for a brief few seconds.

The corvette fires another round from its MAC and continues to fire missiles at the raider. They also receive an update on the Fairy Queen which is now twelve minutes away.

The Second MAC Round Strikes the Raider's shields, dropping them down to 70%, as well as a couple of missiles dropping it down a few percent. The raider finally reaches the asteroid, hiding behind it for a short while to allow a breather. Meanwhile, the Other B-wing also unleashes its payload of ION Cannons and Torpedoes before both wings of starfighters break off, turning for another attack run.

Brank The point defences track the bomber/ other fighters and fire. The corvette targets the asteroid the Raider is hiding behind and launches more missiles that destroy it. It launches another volley targeting the raider.

The Narvik swings downward and comes about so it is facing at the near bottom of the Raider to obtain a better angle. The damage from the bomber's payload causes some more damage across the hull.

The Fairy Queen communicates with the Narvik that it can see the missile detonations and the ship's signal on the tactical display on its bridge. The Fairy Queen is an Anlace-Class Electronic Warfare frigate.

A Fighter is destroyed by the Point Defense, while another 2 are damaged alongside one of the B-wings. They Come about and prepare for another run, this time all ordnance being prepared. The Raider's engines fire up once again, missiles striking its shield and reducing it's strength as it fires another volley of concussion missiles and turbolaser fire, alongside the ION cannons beginning to fire once again. The Raider rolls quickly, showing it's side to the corvette instead of its bottom, still allowing most of the weapons to fire.

Brank The Point defences continue to shred the fighters while the underbelly and the others not being used focus on the oncoming projectiles. The MAC fires again and so do the missiles. The emp missiles fired, target the engines of the ship hoping to take them out.
The Fairy Queen arrives at the edge of the battlefield. It begins to deploy its electronic warfare measures. First, it lays down an interdiction field to stop the escaping Raider and then jams its signals. The Fairy Queen also fires off its sole M1 Avenger which is a special turret that fires a large disabling field to knock out ships and their systems. The Narvik retreats a small amount to let the Fairy Queen go to work. The Narvik still lays down its covering fire and sends out one of its small repair drones to repair the hull.

Another Fighter Goes down and a B-Wing is heavily Damaged. They all unload their entire payloads, fighters firing laser cannons and concussion missiles, and the Two B-wings firing numerous laser cannons, ION cannons, and all of it's Proton Torpedoes and ION Torpedoes. at the end of the run another fighter is torn apart as the wreckage slams into the Shield of the UEG corvette. The Raider's Shields are struck by the EMP Missiles, taking them out as a MAC and Missiles crash into the Raider, knocking it's left solar panel wing off, and collapsing layers of armour. The Raider fires out the last of the concussion missiles and keeps firing lasers and ION cannons towards the enemy.

Brank The corvettes shields flutter as the wave of damage hits them. The shields break and begin to recharge after several moments. The wreckage from the broken fighter embeds itself at an odd angle as most of it bounces off the ships armoured hull. The turbo lasers manage to disperse on the special anti energy coating but manage to puncture it after several shots hitting the same target causing it to puncture with small holes. The corvette is peppered with holes and a hull breach on a now closed off level. The Fairy Queen continues to disable the Raider. It also launches two of its unmanned F-406 Katana fighters to encircle the battleground.

Of the Fairy Queens limited marine compliment, members of the 36th ODST Division prepare weapons for boarding. Close quarters weapons with sound and flash suppressors as well as flashlight combos. The troopers put on their special combat armour that will protect them from both Kendrick rounds as well as the vacuum of space. The suits each have a reserve 25 minute air supply.

A Couple of fighters go in for the unmanned fighters while the rest attempt to return to the Raider. The losses mount and the first of the two B-wings goes silent as a point defense round shoots right through its cockpitl hitting the pilot right in the head as blood splatters, his body pulling the flight stick down, causing the b-wing to careen into an asteroid. A couple other fighters are destroyed as well, while the remaining handful return to the hangar alongside the damaged, but still living B-wing. As they arrive at the Raider, one of the rounds from the Fairy Queen's M1 Avenger impacts the Raider, shutting down its automated systems, leaving only backup power and life-support online. The engines go dead, as well as the weapons, as the ship careens through space, unable to make corrections to its flight path. It seems to be on an almost direct path towards the planet.

Brank Since the weapons are disabled on the Raider, the Narviks thrusters burn bright as it surges forward to stop the Raider from slipping. The heavy armoured front touches against the raiders side and pushes it back. The momentum of the Narvik causes the raider to stop and slow down.

The Fairy Queen launches one of its dropships which flies over to the Raider. The F-406s come about and fall in behind the dropship.

To each side of the raider is a hangar bay, where pilots and a couple marines scramble around trying to get in defensive positions.

Brank Cue the music. It’s time to dance.
The olive dropship comes and sits outside the hangar. The front chain gun swivels to and fro sweeping the area with suppressive fire.
