Terket The Mrrshan group steps through into the airlock, wearing no space suits only a pair of boots strapped to their legs, they begin withdrawing scanning equipment, you see a 6th creature drop in the airlock before locking behind her, it's clear she is not Mrrshan and her space suit label says alkari cultural expert, the Alkari links her suits communication to the ships frequency and begins speaking the cresitian dialect perfectly she says
Would you mind letting us in?, culturally amongst our faction talking through viewports can be seen as fairly rude, and generally is frowned upon.
HarryRocks101 "Welcome?" It made little sense to Auic that insects were talking the very same language of spiders, but perhaps not much of what was seen in space by the Akyrates was very coherent. His guess was generally correct, though it doesn't specifically match it. His tone seemed a bit uneasy but there could be other excuses. He also never got the pattern of cresitian language.
The other Ichlamos looked steadily towards the airlock in anticipation.
Despite the ship being hard to see, you know the basic layout of it. (Change required: No status light, yellow is dim, and nearly no parts are currently active.)
HarryRocks101 The Monolithic structure beckongs, like liquid the metal grasps the Alkari, and absorbs him inwards. The upper part of the monolith glows as the numerous thin lines on its serface begin oscillating and changing position. All contact with the one that was sent inwards is lost. For the one inwards, the perspective is different. He awakes from what seems to be a deep slumber. He is a void of pure whiteness that extends as far as he can see and grasp, his memories flood. He remembers of his infancy. but not only his infancy, he also sees and feels the infancy of others. He is the son and daughter to a thousand mothers. Afterimages and afterimages extend from himself, fillign up the whiteness, where does "he" end and the "other" begins? The boundary of his ego frails, the already weak ego of the hiveminded being is minimized, his self merges with the whiteness as he becomes one with everything else that he knows of, he is gone yet he is permanent, it is eternal bliss. His mind can finally access the secrets of the large chamber beyond this one, from it, he saps knowledge, yet in his unwavering lack of form, he knows and understands too little. The little that he acquires is extremely useful however, now, as a final gift for his comrades, he will repay in kind with the knowledge they seek. The monolith splashes down like a torrent of tempestuous water, its egregious size fills up the corridor, submerging all present. Their hivemind-like behaviour allows them to understand that a certain exclusive, special knowledge was deposited into their collective thinking, and another special notion. They feel and know what happened to their comrade, as a part of him intrinsically becomes a part of them, he shall live forever in the hivemind. The monolith waters are gone and now the room is empty. (@HarryRocks101 we should talk about this later)
The Megastructure shakes and buckles, some kind of flare is seen from the reactor, there is something wrong. They feel like their time is coming to an end, and they should leave the place soon, as it is now filled with a constant shaking, and the energetic readings only get higher and higher. Outside and unbeknownst to them, the megastructure nighs on completing a full rotation.
Fort_Master_Gustav The crew begins heading towards the elevator feeling a disturbance and hearing there tablets ringing informing them of a full orbit soon.
They make sure to leave there probes behind, locked around the chambers hoping of future recovery of the footage that will now continuously record for as Long as there active.
Terket The group stepping through the airlock inner seal begins scanning the atmosphere for any bacteria or pathogen before the Alkari takes of her suit and introduces herself with a handshake to each and every crew member there telling each of them her name and who she is in there own languages dependent on who the person she is talking to is.
Hello, I'm Murakia, I'm the Cultural expert and language expert for this expedition, what seems to be the problem?
HarryRocks101
Each one had a varying opinion of their very own faction, the Akyratés. And of Hukari. The first one, Auic, had introduced himself. "I have seen much blindness within the Akyratés, though even with idiots who command, we cannot overthrow them with such a small force." The second, Saonyng, seemed rather indifferent about the matter. "I'm not too sure about whatever we're planning, but I promised I'd help my twin." The third, Talurt, much hated the Akyratés, but didn't feel like living idly somewhere, in the amount of dangers there are. But it is some time after the Age of War has passed (this conflicts with other lores in timeline purposes, and im also gonna write some lore explaining that). Of course, there are more willing to talk, but it'd take some time to listen, or to reach others.
HarryRocks101 Already inside the elevator again, the doors automatically lock after the group's made their mind to leave, and, counterintuitively, it simply remains still. A few moments of desperation would reign over the collective conciousness of the group: What'd happen if they were left behind? The megastructure's appearance was sudden, and its subsequent, inevitable dissapearance would imply what end to the ones left stranded within? Much to the group's relief, the doors open up again, releaving the corridor that leads to their ship, with the rest of the team waiting. This place's mechanics only get more and more illogical.
Fort_Master_Gustav The head commander before leaving remarks if given the time they could learn so much of what they don't know from this structure.
Suddenly one of the youngest alkari members of the team speaks up and asks to stay knowing that if he dies he'll go to the consciousness decides if at all possible we should see what happens when this structure leaves from inside, much to the dismay of the commander he agrees that if we can we should learn as much as we can and leaving a team here may benifit the faction.
Commander Baltovich decides that if he is to leave one man behind he himself should stay he decides that both of them will enter cryosleep within the pod whilst the crew leaves on the corvette
HarryRocks101 (We should do the two dudes that were left behind's perspective at Discord, because... I'm lazy. If you don't want to though, I can just write it after this.)
The ship starts up and functions normally, its thrusters propel it off the monolithic platform and into the periphery of the large structure, and soon, they fall into an unwavering darkness once again. The darkness ends as the ship lands back again, this time, back where they were supposed to go after their mission was completed. Like their landing, they have no recollection of what happened in-between this transition period. All of the data they gathered from the expedition was usable, though it seemed to have been tainted by some ammount of innate interference within it. Not enough to make it useless though, and not any pattern involved within it. Their collective knowledge acquired is soon shared between the hivemind, something to make them outstanding among the galactic community, for sure. Soon, the comes the time for the station to complete its full rotation. As it nighs on the syzygy, The Storm beckons its alignment, and a golden wave of rolling thunder smites the whole system assunder, instantly atomizing all of the territory. All of the participant's minds are stretched thin between the membrane of universes, melding and unmelding betwix a state of is and isn't, a momentary delight in the precipitation of notions. As a property of every thunder emanated from The Storm, it rolls back, and undoes its effects. However, this time, it takes the large station anomaly together with it, as for the Federation, it appears to slowly fade away like gas, leaving no traces behind of it presence but their recordings and their expedition.
Fort_Master_Gustav (Let's continue on discord)
@HarryRocks101
Two ships are seen around the borders, looking to be wandering aimlessly.
They're identified as ships belonging to a faction that's simultaneously infamous and unheard of. Of course, these seem to be fine in comparison to what you've heard about them.
Terket A communication is broadcast from the closest colony.
"Welcome to the GFM, may we ask what your reason for entering our space is?"
HarryRocks101 A response message..
