From a dark corner of the galaxy, around the border to the interstellar void, a small star system appeared, it had never seen or detected before...as if the system hasn´t been there before.
Then, a transmission was sent across the galaxy strong enough so even small factions could pick it up and translate it, those who picked up the transmission could hear a deep male voice, with a lot of chrisma...
"People of the Galaxy, We are the Eldar protectors, for millennia we protected this realm from a threat beyond its grasp! A threat of divine proportions! ... and yet, after all these millenia, this threat has grown beyond our power... We need your help to stop it! Come to these coordinates and we shall discuss the details, how you may help us and you can prevent disaster. Come inhabitants of our galaxy, our real fight has just begun!"
The Eldar Protectors
The eldar protectors are an organization that has been around from ancient times but usually operated in the dark, away from the eyes of the public, as the acts they have to commit to defend the world from other dimensional threats, may be seen as evil by lesser educated individuals. However, with time these threats grew and eventually inevitably also grew over the capabilities of the Protectors. Now the Protectors have shown themselves to seek help amongst the galaxy.
The main parts of the organization are located in a new star sector that was hidden from the scanners until recently...
A small cluster of twenty systems, with only three of them under direct control of the Eldar.
Gouvernment:
The Eldar Protectors consist of 4 main factions, each of them has a leader and these four leaders control the organization. Under each leader lays a whole faction with their individuality and fleet power:
These four factions are...
Cthulhu Protectors:
This faction has the largest fleet of the group and is the military backbone of the organization, additionally thy also own the most space inside the organization.
Leader:
Zura, this woman is the last of her species, what happened to her civilization is unknown to this day, but her original genetic code was altered in unprecedented ways by unknown forces. Usually only seen clad in armour and armed with a blade that's made of a special form of stable strange matter, her psychic abilitys make her a dangerous opponent.
Yog Sothoth Protectors:
Almost the entirety of this factions civilization lives on a singular huge ship with the name 'Mantle of Wisdom', a world ship with the astronomical size of around 17000 kilometres. The ship holds almost all of the research facilities the Eldar have and the ships existence is a mistery in itself, its origin, just as the materials it is made from are unknown.
Leader:
A mysterious man that simply goes by the name 'The Yellow King'. According to the rumors he possesses infinite knowledge, yet he has never been seen in public.
The 'Mantle of Wisdom':
Shub Niggurath Protectors:
The Shub Niggurath Protectors have the largest production capacity out of all of the factions and create a variety of resources for the Protectors from simple weapons and tools to genetic improvements and even spaceships.
Their massive production capacity depends on a number of forge rings that rotate around matter decompressors above a black hole, these production rings mostly use matter manipulators to produce a variety of goods. From the same blackhole energy is also being harvested, by what means is currently unknown as the production center has not been seen yet by anyone but the protectors.
Leader:
Mother Mogath, an expert in production strategy, logistics and resource acquisition. She is the one in charge of the the logistics of the organization and with her help the organization is able to make enough consumer goods and keep the economy of the Protectors stable.
Nyarlathotep Protectors:
They are the messengers of the Eldar, they collect information about the galaxy whilst remaining in the darkness, there is barely any information about them and those who interact with them have the strange habit of forgetting about these interactions again soon after...
Leader:
The name of their leader is Noone, but there is no additional information about it, it may just as well not exist.
Technology
Matter manipulators:
The exact workings of this technology are unknown, but what is known is that it is capable of reassembling matter or turning energy itself into matter. This high tech equipment is usually used to create large quantities of raw materials to then construct other equipment from it.
Strangematter Generators:
Generators that use a mix of stable and unstable strange matter breaking down and recreating each other constantly, creating large amounts of energy as byproduct. These generators are used to power the Eldars capital ships and their stations.
Eldirium:
It is unknown how the Eldar get this material as they do not seem to produce it themselves, the material is stronger than most spaceship armor, but that is only its secondary attribute. What this material is mainly known for is the ability to be enchanted with the correct tools and procedures, every tool, weapon or armour that is created from this metal can be enchanted by the priests of the Eldar...making this material extremely valuable.
Strangematter Weaponry:
Weapon systems that shoot bolts of stabilized strange matter, when hitting a target the matter destabilizes and turns all matter around it into strange matter, shortly after the absorbed matter seems to decay without releasing any energy. The most effective defense against these weapons are shields, though shields can still be damaged by the sheer mass fo the projectiles. Aside from shipmounted weaponry there are also a specialized kind of melee weapons, which only seem to absorb matter in direct contact without the areal effect of projectile weapons, how they function is unknown.
Basic Plasma Weaponry:
Basic plasma weaponry is usually used in all cases where the Eldars otehr techonology is unfit or too dangerous to use, from plasma coated blades to rifles and ship-to-ship cannons there is a wide variety of equipment in this niche.
Dimensional Shields:
These shields are only used by the most elite forces of the Eldar, projecting dimensional portals around sections of the ships to send everything that hits them to another dimension. These portals cannot surround the entirety of the ship, there a special projection towers, usually at the front and back end fo the ships that project the shield between them.
Additionally to that these shields are very powerhungry, so if any of the towers are taken down or there is damnages to the energy generation, they will in most cases fail.
Eldirium prisms:
Only used on capital ships and main stations these are blocks of 100% pure Eldirium with a diameter of around a meter. These prisms are located in the center of the vessel and give the the priests aboard to temporarily enchant the ships or stations as a whole, giving them improvements to their weapons and armor and other tactical advantages.
Call for help:
The largest of the Eldar ships can call for help from the stations that orbit their planets, most of these stations have a central beam array that is capable of orbital bombardment. The ships in question can open small dimensional portals through which the stations can fire their weaponry, but to do so the ship has to rotate around the portal that opens and remain in range as long as it is opened, leaving it vulnerable to enemy fire.
FTL shunts:
A technology that was a side-product of the dimensional shields, if enemy ships attempt to ram Eldar ships at high relitivistic or ftl speeds, it will be redirected before hitting the ship. A large number of these FTL shunts are located around the Eldar space, so warping inside the eldar teritory by conventional means is nigh impossible.
Races:
The Eldar do not have any main race, rather they have come together from a large vareity of diffrent races, then most, if not all of them, received genetic modifications improving on the talents they have brought with them.
On occassion some new races are created in their laboratories, hybrids from races that are already part of the Eldar crafted to fill different roles in the organization or carry out special tasks.
Military:
The military force fo the Eldar protectors consists of four main fleets each belonging to one of the main factions. Each fleet has it´s own military doctrine and composition:
Cthulhu Protectors:
The Cthulhu protectors possess the largest fleet of the four factions and also have the biggest variety of ships, their sub-fleets are well balanced and mobile, usually having 3-12 cruiser and above sized ships along with smaller ships, support craft and fighters to accompany them, each of these sub-fleets is usually specifically composed to complete certain tasks.
Their total ship count is unknown but it is estimated they possess around 250 capital ships, which is counting cruisers and above.

Yog Sothoth Protectors:
The Yog Sothoth protectors rely mostly on advanced high quality fighter craft and crusiers. These ships are usually heavily shielded and well armed, groups of Yog Sothoth ships usually consist of one to three leading cruisers surrounded by a large group of fighters. They are usually well prepared for battle, always having a backup ready for the cases when battles do not go as planned.
Their total ship count is not known either but reports it estimate their fleet around 90 capital ships, which are solely crusiers of varying sizes.
Fleet symbol:
Shub Niggurath Protectors:
The Shub Niggurath Protectors, unlike the Yog Sothoth, mostly rely on numbers, they generally use humongous Carrier ships to bring a large amount of fighters and corvettes into battle. These carriers can be up to 20 kilometres long and serve as a mobile command center for their fleets, with this setup they can start ambushes with single ships or even stage attacks from a few systems away as their carriercraft also has limited ftl capabilities. In battle they tend to overwhelm their enemies with numbers, most of the fightercraft and drones taking the front lines and serving as distraction and sort of 'point defense', whilst their corvettes are firing from the backlines equipped artillery weapons, unusual for their size.
Their fleet is second in size after the Cthulhu Protectors and is estimated to contain around 170 dedicated carriers for different pruposes.
