THIS IS A DIRECT BROADCAST FOR TRADE VESSELS ENTERING OR NEAR REDFORD. 3 UNKNOWN CRUISERS HAVE BEEN SPOTTED, AND SEEM TO BE A PART OF A EXTREMELY DANGEROUS GROUP "THE KINGSMEN". IF THEY ARE SPOTTED NEARBY, TRY TO ESCAPE OR CALL FOR VESSEL SUPPORT. THIS IS A HIGH-RISK SITUATION FOR MULTIPLE TRADE ROUTES, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. WE HAVE THE IRWIN SEARCHING FOR THEM. This "event" will start a long-turn of events for Redford. For right now, you can dispatch multiple groups of your choosing against these vessels. I have only one (Written) rule. No Interdiction of any sort. Sure, No OPness is an unwritten rule for any event. Anyways, This fleet will randomly attack faction trade, but shouldn't be too harmful long-term for you guys. Please do note that there are 3 things this fleet cannot be affected by.
- The ships are unaffected by acid in RP.
- This group does not have a base or planet you can bombard or attack.
- The ships are unaffected by light laser cannons of any sort. Stuff on corvettes and such should be ok, but not the equivalent of an x-wing.
However, they are affected by:
- EMP. The targeting systems are easily affected. If used, the guns will miss unless already locked on.
- Bombers. While they have good defenses against them, bombers have the capability to pound the deck if in large enough numbers (Like 20-30 bombers)OR are heavily shielded.
- Guns similar to them. The group are using ships similar to Redford Designs, so they are weak to Large Caliber projectile guns. (I would say anywhere from a 5-30 inch gun would be more then enough to pound the decks.)
