I just built something and I thought it isn't a bad ship.
Maybe you cantell how to make it better.

Looks bad ass spidery and reminds me of a Shadow ship (Babylon 5). You could try to stack the shields more and the back looks vulnerable without shields. Perhaps move the weapons to the front and armor the rear up.

I think any major changes will compromise the look, which would be a shame as it looks so cool at the moment, definitely see the crab. Those arms are going to be weak, and I always like to tuck shields behind weapons, but as I mentioned that will effect the look.
