It had been around a month after the ominous whisper appeared, yet nothing had happened in consequence so far, scientists had already abandoned to project for more important things again, soon however, ther may be reason to change...
Around a month after the initial whisper the galactic plain trembled once more on the sensors, stronger, followed by another whisper, this one louder, more violent than the last, but not making any more sense than last one.
...and then , it stopped again, without much indication as to why.
Shortly after this second whisper had occured a blind spot appeared on the sensors directed at the galactic core, directly pointed at it, sensors returned no data, more worryingly it seemed be growing at a tremendous speed, at least by astronomical standards. Whatever this thing was, it was coming closer.
Calculations estimated it´s time of arrival at the Empires border to around a week.
