Shortly before the shots from the Star Destroyers reach the ship, they jump to an unknown location within the system. Moments later the solar core containment fields of the wrecked cruiser give way to the high pressure of the miniature star within, letting the hot plasma rapidly expand, tearing apart what is left of the Kel'Shir cruiser and heavily damaging the enemy cruiser still recovering from its ramming maneuver. After making contact with some of the experimental micro-nova-warheads remaining on the Kel'Shir wreck, the miniature star itself implodes, before turning into a nova. Though most other ships are by now far enough away from the epicenter to receive any meaningful damage, there are now big chunks of wreckage flying their way at high velocity.

Shortly after MECPs make their first steps into the city, the earpiercing screeching sound of their weapons charging can be heard. Just barely fitting through the streets, they move forward, raining hellfire from above as the city is illuminated by their bright red plasma beams, glassing the streets wherever they touch the ground to annihilate enemies. The AV fire shows some effectiveness against the Kel'Shir shields, though they are still holding as of now, while tracing algorithms and sensors work together to identify the origin of the heavier incoming fire, letting the MECP crews swiftly retaliate. The evacuation however goes as planned, due to the MECPs relatively low speed.
Meanwhile, with all of the commotion going on above ground, somewhere below, in the governors private bunker the governor along with the planets most important officials are sitting around their table, occasionally barking orders to generals, as they suddenly hear noise over the bunkers comlink, the signal originating from a terminal close to the bunkers entrance:
"Hey you, you are not supposed to be he-"
Before whoever just spoke could finish his sentence, the sound of Kel'Shir weaponry can be heard, making a stark contrast to the silence following immediately after.
