@BattleCruiserCommander ´s Fleet was welcomed with a rain of fire, and an ongoing battle over Gelu. Its sudden entry may have tipped the balance towards the GBE, but that remains to be seen.

The Neo-Destroyers were designed for both numerical and technological disadvantages, apparently the paranoia that was traced to the ship's producers was finally useful this time. The Attacking fleet began firing a large part of its arsenal, starting with its powerful naval cannons that made the armored glass of the ships bridge vibrate. While the orbital bombardment cannons effectively took advantage of the enemy's blockade and its position, because if they missed a shot, Gelu would surely receive it. Nuclear Warheads were launched as retaliation to the same nukes that the GBE had launched, aimed at the fleet of @BattleCruiserCommander .
While the main weapons fired with everything they had towards the enemy fleet, the corvettes danced among the destroyers dodging the enemy projectiles and complementing the defenses of the capital ships by making use of their small caliber weapons, such as Flaks and PDs, to intercept the enemy nukes, and divert enemy projectiles aimed at the capital ships by using timed explosions.
Interceptors and fighters launched themselves into the defense from the ventral hangar of each destroyer as if they were wasps whose honeycomb had been hit. Until "space" supremacy is obtained, bomber complements will not be launched. The fighters and interceptors remain in the range of the defenses of their mother ships, allowing a mutual defense, while waiting to launch into the enemy strike crafts.

The shields fail catastrophically as they are not prepared for such firepower, as they did not foresee enemy reinforcements. When the shields fell, this left the ships completely defenseless in front of the enemy fleet. One of the destroyers managed to bounce a large part of a salvo, but one of the shells managed to enter, penetrating the frontal armor and detonating the ammunition store of the 2nd turret of the ship. The explosion almost instantly eliminated the structure and adjacent rooms, preventing any crew member from even succeeding in realizing what happened. The unfortunate ones who were nearby, but not so much as to be vaporized, died when the corridors near the explosion of the ammunition deprusirized, some were even thrown into space. The fleet technicians isolated the still operational area from the cold vacuum, saving half of the ship. Then they gave the ship as lost by having lost all offensive capacity, beginning the complete evacuation of the ship, and initiating a short and little planned invasion of the planet, which would surely last shortly. The other 2 destroyers received severe damage, but not as critical as a detonation of their ammunition.
