Remember back in the good ol' days when thrust vectoring was a thing?
I miss those days.
ANYWAY, I have an idea for a handful of special thrusters
The reverse thruster is a thruster variant which has 3 thruster ports. One port operates similar to how thrusters normally operate, while the other 2 face at a 135 degree angle away from being parallel to the main thruster. This provides a single side of the thruster for attachment. The main thruster allows the thruster to work as intended, while the two additional thrusters allow the thruster to also work backwards, and provide additional movement options. The downside is that the 2 smaller thrusters aren't very powerful, and due to not facing directly in the intended thrust vector (180 degrees away from being parallel to the main thruster), they are much less efficient.
The vector thruster has a single thruster, which can rotate it's thruster port up to 45 degrees in either direction from it's initial angle. It is more expensive, and it's heavier and bulkier than it's standard variant.
