Trion 063, A barren, uninhabitable wasteland, or so everyone thought. Recent soil samples indicate a rich soil quality ideal for farming, nothing more perfect could be found elsewhere, but no colonies that start there ever survive for long. Everything goes south at least two weeks into the set-up process and the colonists vanish and the only trace of their existence being a colony sized hole in the ground. You, a rookie forensic analyst, are sent by the C.U. (Celestial Union) to investigate the other failed colonies and determine the cause of their downfall. You are accompanied by two microbiologists, a survivalist, a diplomatic liaison, and three trigger happy soldiers. Upon your arrival, you start to question why the planet would ever be used for a colony, the whole place smelled like putrid, rotting death, but keep in mind you're being paid a large sum for this, 2 billion credits would set you up nicely, so let's just do the work and ask those questions later, huh?
