Missile Jammers Ok so I've had this idea where there'd be a point defence turret but instead of it being a shooty-patooty turret it's an internal module (I don't really know what internal ship parts are called) and it definitely WILL NOT SHOOT, it's more like a missile jammer that specifically targets rocket-propelled projectiles and kinda has the characteristics of a tractor beam, but the "beam" will only repel missiles/torpedoes, it would repel them in a way that it would cause the missiles to sway sideways or maybe disable their homing abilty until the missile is out of reach from your ship, ah and also the beam won't be visible to the players.
Teleporters Aight so this one works kinda just like the FTL Drives but it just teleports your ship within a certain radius, and if this seems a bit OP then maybe as a balancing feature it'll have an EMP effect on nearby modules that require power to function as well as it also need to be manually selected and activated by the player, and if the teleporter seems underrated then there'll be different sizes of teleporters: Small - for fighter ships, bombers, etc. Medium - for any average-sized ship. Large - for LARGE ships. another included feature for the teleporters are upgrades/plugins (i dunno what else to call it) and there're 3 types of them: Upgrade 1 - Increases teleporter range, but also increases the EMP effect range that disables more of your modules Upgrade 2 - Removes teleporter's EMP effect but TRIPLES the charge time for the teleporter as well as slightly reduces the teleportation range Upgrade 3 - Adds a big "shockwave" that either repels other ships (for both enemies and allies) or causes a huge EMP that causes the modules from both yours and your enemy's ship to lose power (allies still included)
More stuff in space This is just a minor idea of mine, how 'bout some shooting stars, some actual nebulas that you can cruise through, an abandoned spacestation (if not a spacestation then maybe a destroyed ship carcass would suffice), some planet-related event, like maybe the planet is destroyed, or there's a civilization having a nuclear war or something.
Ambient sounds This one's also a minor idea, so anyways, what if the ambient sound effects when in space is divided into 3 parts, the 1st part would be the "calm" or "idle" ambiance, the 2nd would be the battle ambiance, and lastly the 3rd one's the "Solar System" ambiance, 'cuz I find myself feeling a bit odd due to the repetitiveness of the game's ambiance.
Missions Ah yes, other than having to conquer the whole solar system, you get to do some important quests IN SPACE (I haven't thought this one through yet but I really do want some missions I could do to satiate my boredom)
Sidequests Stop a rogue ship from destroying other ships so that you can take all the good stuff for yourself? wish I could do that, and you wanna race another ship from point A to point B just to earn some quick cash? wish I could do that too. Basically this one's just to keep you from being bored when doing the main missions, just 'cuz you're a goody two shoes kinda person doesn't mean you can take a break from finishing one mission.
Galaxy Systems Eyyy, not only can I conquer a whole solar system, but also an entire galaxy system! Do we need even bigger FTL drives? Uhh yeah? ok sure why not let's just leave it at that.
