Detonations noises fill the air, and make Tolvyre temporarely deaf due to their proximity, as the group opens fire at the being in front of them.
A multitude of shells, varying from assault Rifle rounds with 12.5mm diameter, large minigun-likee projectiles from the automatic 20mm on the arms of the golems, and single large flechette rounds from the 20mm shotguns that some of the soldiers use.
Even small APDSFS rounds from a single 40mm cannon on the arm of a golem fly towards both the rider and the horse. The ordinance was enough to split both to shreds if they were normal humans.

The Rider didn't seem to have existed after that barrage.
The red crystal was in sight, but..it cracked?! There wasn't one before whoever inspected it did. It clearly wasn't severely hit.
Tolvyre didn't notice this, he was still focusing on hearing whatever wind blew around, but he wouldn't hear for some time.

It remains a mystery, for now.

As the rest of the squad reloads their weaponry, the single trooper that was more advanced grabs the red crystal, and whatever there is in the surrounding as well, if there are any shatters of it spread around.
This is not a problem in the end, after all, they wouldn't use the crystals to activate the portal they saw when they were in space. No, they had much, much greater plans for these crystals.
They'd be presented to their superior, and their superior would bring them to their superior, and so on and so fourth until the crystals were in front of no other than
M.O.T.H.E.R.
Of course, they didn't even know who M.O.T.H.E.R was, but they knew that their superiors would want the crystals.
Now, the group moves towards the yellow city, to gather the yellow crystal from the suffering populace, while resisting the deadly radioactive consequences of a nuclear blast.

Tolvyre thought about if the Red Rider could potentially withstand a such atmosphere.
The doors were crude, and what looked once to be the gates to the Yellow City had been scattered around. More of the fact that they blew open too hard, rather than getting blasted.
He looked about as far front of him as he could.

The group simply walks into the city in their usual triangular formation.
They try too see where the crystal may be, as it's usually inside a building with a beam of its respective color shooting out of the top of it.

Fort_Master_Gustav Tolvyre never remembered where to go, his route was either somewhere not open in this position, or just unobtainable. He felt weak, somehow.
Bad as his hearing was, he clearly heard something.
"Locate the White Knight, tell him to contact Lord Haze."
His memory was strange, he remembered the two mentioned very clearly.
The White Knight, Varus Lightbringer, would be somewhere not easy to find from above, at this moment, but that was the least of his cares.
The Delta Soldiers came close to the palace, but not quite at the door. They can continue to the palace or pursue whatever was heard.

They dismiss what they heard. If they were to contact someone, it was likely that that someone could be taken out from the group, or from the ship in orbit, as the ship in orbit had enough firepower to spread quite a lot of damage upon the planet.
The main mission was to retrieve the crystals and so it'd continue to be. They head towards the palace, and try to enter through the front doors.

Tolvyre didn't realize they'd already come inside.
The palace entrance was quite similar to the blue one. There existed the blue lever far beyond reach. Perhaps...

Tolvyre thought it was impossible to reach, but he wasn't accounting for the others around him, which he'd travelled with for a while. Strange.
The door opened to a similarly circular room. Whatever was problematic about the atmosphere seemed to very slowly dissipate, though it was clear that it wouldn't go away.

As Tolvyre would recall, the troopers seemingly were unnafected by the atmosphere of most places, as they likely had themselves each within its own suit, a fact further supported by when he was inside one of their ships, which seemingly didn't have any atmosphere, being able to compress and decompess according to where it was located.
The team proceeded foward, as the Golems stood behind due to a lack of movement space. However, the troopers weer perfectly capable of advancing through the facility. They tried to employ the same steps thad had brought them to the crystal last time, but to this palace.

Tolvyre wandered to the first greenlit door he saw, but your troops probably continue to about where the 10-point marked one was.
Inside, he saw some strange record.
Through some event that he couldn't read, the only worthy one of Diraxom's Legacy was trapped on a world with bright grass, and overall strange shape. He'd established a colony of his own, along with the locals. Resources seem to be abundant there, and the planet behaved as if it were small, but seems infinite. More to this lies somewhere....
What a strange read. Diraxom? Cubic Everything?

The quite curious recording could refer to the portal that the stones were meant to open, and the portal was meant to tunnel to this other world, which was likely another dimension. Such a dimension seems great for ample building, and could provide a good base for the so-called "Deltas". Hence, they must capture the being they talk about, and conquer the dimension.
One of the troopers was always following Tolvyre, so that he wouldn't get away, and hence he saw the recording as well. The normal squad however, goes threading its own path, pulling the levers to make their way foward, however, one has to wonder why such a weird contraption to defend these crystals.

Tolvyre is currently looking through other places in wherever he'd entered.
Usually there was a piece of information on how to find the lever for the platform.
An excerpt of the Mystaradan War. The Black Knight, who has been banished from the order since then, had cursed multiple people to wander in a land vast and never-ending.

Tolvyre tried his mind at this. He'd solved a previous one.

The Delta Team in the center room find something completely different. There seemed to be an outline of a multi-block tower. Purple switches everywhere. Blue switch at the ceiling.
A piece,of,information was found near the center.
Morphing block system mostly non-lethal.

The troopers try to climb the tower. After all, if it was mostly non-lethal to the original inhabitants, it was probably very non-lethal to the troopers, whose resilience was quite a sight to behold.
They were, however, careful about the levers they pulled, as they'd try to avoid getting smashed by the blocks as much as they could.

The trooper with Tolvyre looks around as he does, trying to make sense of these phrases, though it can't.

The one barely made it,up the tower, after either carefully timed jumps, or climbs. The blue lever was in reach.
There wasn't a good and clear jump to the yellow crystal.

Instead of a door unlocking, something seemed to move in the center room. Still not much place to jump.

Tolvyre looked through the darkness, and he thought he heard something odd. Not a platform extending, he'd expected that. Something from above. A chirr? Nothing he'd heard before.
He tried looking again. It was unexpectedly solved easily because, whatever the soft being was, it was a strong light. The furry creature was only unnatural to this world. It was a strong wheat-color base with black stripes, long ears reaching sideways, and it looked almost like a sphere. Its tail was about medium-short length for its size. On its back was what looked to be a book and a light conjured hammer.
It was strangely hopeful. What brought it here?

The trooper with Tolvyre immediatly aims its .50 cal assault rifle at the small being, though it won't shoot unless the being shows signs of agressiveness.

The trooper scaled down the tower, as the group went back to the center room to try and see what changed.

The soft creature blinked. Tolvyre walked slowly toward it, while staying on the glass path that light shone on. Tolvyre seemed to have a fire of motivation in himself. He sat down, near it and pett the soft creature, while reaching for the blue lever. What brought it here, he continued to ask himself. (minor spoiler, it's a fargun)

The third platform had lifted. Still not enough for jumping up to it.

The trooper only stood watching, it wasn't capable of expressing any emotion, but it did lower its gun.

However, it might be enough to climb up onto it. about three troopers climbed up one of the golems, that didn't seem to mind the added weight, and two of the troopers boosted the third up onto the platform with impressive strenght.
