All the fighters scramble and enter formation to prepare to attack. They dont immediatelly attack, keeping formation and preparing to charge. The ships do not break formation, after all the main threat is still the planetary cannons that can easily rip them apart if given the chance. The ships on the outer formation are with full strengh shields, while the inside circle have minimal shields, transfering their shield power to the War Hammer.

Nothing happens, all they can hear are the defense cannons pounding at the War Hammer in a continous rythm..
Boom... Boom... Boom... Boom....

Then, suddenly, distant blinks can be seen and several massive projectiles rip into the sides and rear of the TIE formation..

These projectiles are the same as the smaller planetary defense cannon rounds, but from the direction they were coming from were no planets..

The TIE ships from the outer formation turned, flatting themselves towards the incoming fire, cracks formed as ship exploded, but were replaced by other ships. Some ships stopped shield boosting the warhammer, and shielded their comrads now taking fire. Fighters buzzed around but didnt charge, they knew the GSR had great anti fighter guns. Then, several beams of light crossed the battlefield, striking at the rear of the GSR formation. Just outside the interdiction field, several hyperspace submarines positioned themselves and fired RKKVs at the GSR. The battle would be fierce, and the warhammer kept pushing foward.

The RKKVs had to be fired on sight due to jammed sensors and scanners, and with such missed the main targets and shredded a few smaller vessels..

Out from the darkness of space a ship appeared, a giant, and as it neared, it was clear which ship had been sent to intercept..
On direct intercept course to the warhammer lay the Bismarck, the ship which survived a supernova, plastered with cannons, mines, shields and armor..
Around the Bismarck followed German destroyers like a spearhead leading the charge, directly towards the warhammer..

The closer they got, the clearer they received a beacon...
