I haven't played the game in awhile, and mostly have been in creative. How do I make a new ship in Bounty Hunter mode to add to my fleet?
Quarantine Guess it should theoretically be possible to buy an empty ship grid while paused and build your ship using that. Haven't tried that yet tho.
Click 'purchase another ship' button in the bottom right (next to the galaxy map and above the minimap), then choose the cheapest ship and modify it. Or use one of your own designs.

It lets you buy illegal ship designs? Didn't know that, neat. What I usually do is just save and go to creative. In terms of how long it usually takes to design a ship the extra couple of seconds spent never really mattered to me.
You can also just buy a ship and delete everything. You should get a full refund when deleting everything as long as you don't go into combat or FTL beforehand.
