Can't load certain ships

While trying to load certain ship it say not a valid ship

What does this suppose to mean?

Ten simply enough, those ships are either corrupt, or you’re trying to load it from a format the game doesn’t recognize. Are you sure those aren’t just screenshots instead of ship files?

Ten Those images have been shrunk. They are the wrong dimensions and so cannot be loaded into Cosmoteer as they have lost information.

Walt Maybe make the error message more informative? E.g. Indicate that image is the wrong dimensions and is not valid due to having been shrunk.

Also, sometimes this can happen when loading ships from Discord.

If those ship files worked before you can try loading them into blueprint mod by using the Load Ship Design from the hamburger menu in blueprint mode. Otherwise the files are useless.
